Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 42

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 42 Spare Me This Once. (Genevieve Swan)

It seemed that every time I tried to accept the fact that my father had gotten married behind my back, he had another surprise in store for me. However, this time, I kept my emotions in check, even as I felt my mates’ gaze on me. They seemed so eager to see how I would react as if my family were a reality show and I was merely entertainment for them.

“Ah! Alpha Ron, have you met my incredible sons-in-law?” My dad noticed my mates and stepped forward, shaking h*ands with the three of them deliberately leaving out Wolvin, who didn’t seem to care much anyway. He was too busy surveying his surroundings.

What struck me the most was that my dad blatantly ignored me. It was as if he intended to punish me for disrupting his dinner the previous night.

“I have actually met them. They’re nice guys,” Ron forced a smile upon greeting my mates once again. He gave me a weak nod before distancing himself from my mates.

“Hi, Dad,” I greeted awkwardly, feeling the weight of everyone’s silent attention directed toward me.

“Hm, everyone, let’s join the ladies at the lunch table,” my dad acted like a petulant child, avoiding me. I was sure everyone was aware of what my father was doing, and Kit seemed delighted by it. She shamelessly smiled at my apparent shame.

“What have you done again?” Once everyone walked ah*ead, leaving me behind with Wolvin, who had to remove his shoes before entering the dining room, Kit approached me. Or rather, to taunt me.

“I see you’ve managed to involve yourself in my family matters again,” I said, referring to the lunch invitation. I remembered my father being angry with her for sleeping with my fiancé on my wedding day, and he specifically mentioned that she would no longer attend family events.

“I guess he realized his daughter isn’t a saint either,” her comment caught me off guard. The smirk I had intended to give her in response faded away. I couldn’t help but wonder what made my father change his mind so quickly.

“If you’re done bickering, may I steal my wife?” Wolvin stood beside me as Kit made those remarks. I was so stunned that I couldn’t respond, but thankfully, Wolvin chimed in.

“Oh, don’t mind me. I’m not particularly fond of initiating conversations with just anyone,” Kit shrugged, rolling her eyes.

“Yet you stayed behind to bother my wife,” Wolvin grunted, shaking his h*ead at her.

“Ah! Does it not bother you that you’re sharing your wife with three other powerful werewolves?” She smirked as she posed that question to him. I felt an intense urge to slap her across the face, but my father’s reaction halted me.

“That question seems rather peculiar coming from you, considering you didn’t seem bothered when you slept with her fiancé. So, tell me, whatever your name is, how does it feel to be living off of her worn-outs?” Wolvin wrapped his large arm around my petite waist and pulled me closer.

She blinked several times, struggling to come up with a response. She didn’t like him either, probably because of his meager wealth.

Wolvin wrapped his arm around my back, patting it gently, signaling me to walk away with him.

“Did you hear what she said? My father called me ‘not so saint’ just because I didn’t stay over another night,” I complained, whispering as we made our way to the dining room. I held back my tears.

“Trust me, doll, your father is clueless,” Wolvin whispered in response.

It was incredibly hurtful that my father had said that. How could I be responsible for a man cheating on me? Was that why he had made amends with Alpha Ron?

I sat down at the dining table, keeping my h*ead down until I slowly raised it and noticed Monique sitting across from me. She cast a quick glance my way before raising an eyebrow and turning her h*ead in the opposite direction. I realized she was wearing yet another gown from my mother’s collection.

I didn’t appreciate it, but I had to maintain my composure. I had already caused enough chaos the previous night, and now I understood the consequences of my actions.

“So, how’s everything going? Taking care of so many mates must be a h*andful,” Ron cleared his throat, attempting to engage me in pleasant conversation. He knew I despised him now, so he deliberately tried to annoy me.

“Which reminds me…” Suddenly, Ron’s attention shifted back to my mates. Mr. and Mrs. Browning were looking at me as if I were the one who had wronged their daughter. In fact, Mrs. Browning even commented to someone that I should not have mentioned their daughter when complaining about my fiancé cheating on our wedding day.

The audacity of her to think her daughter was entitled to any respect after what she had put me through baffled my mind.

“They were telling me that their names aren’t on the accepted list for the royal lockers,” Ron mentioned, and my mates straightened their backs. I knew they desperately wanted access.

However, today was a terrible day for me, and I was in no mood to help anyone, especially my mates who had invited these two snakes into my home. Thanks to them, Kit now knew that neither my father nor my mates respected me.

“So, I was thinking—Do you think they should be granted access?” Ron asked my father. I was certain my mates had asked him the same question, but why was he trying to assist them?

My dad, who hadn’t glanced my way all this time, pointed at me without even looking in my direction and said, “According to the rules, my daughter is the only one who can grant access to her mates. She will make the decision, and then we’ll have to vote.”

As my dad uttered those words, I noticed my mates looking at me intently. So, this was the moment to reveal my decision?

Given how everyone had wronged me, something told me it was alright to be sassy and give them the treatment they deserved.

“I believe it’s too early for these discussions,” as soon as I said that, I saw my mates avert their gazes from me. I could even hear Emre grinding his teeth. Once again, I had managed to anger them, and this time, it happened in front of everyone.

“And I have something else to say,” I stood up from my seat, watching everyone become confused. I had to do it; otherwise, I would face even bigger problems.
