Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee
Chapter 46 My Mates Are Offended. (Genevieve Swan)
I spoke in a hushed tone, barely audibly, and noticed their confused glances as they failed to hear me the first time.
“The storm is going to be severe, guys. We should get going,” Bellamy finally snapped out of his trance and walked past me, signaling the others to continue the journey.
“We would if this b*rat would stop being stubborn,” Emre sighed and nonchalantly sat down on the road. Bellamy turned to me, raising an eyebrow, as he cast a judgmental gaze upon me.
“What’s wrong with her now? Is this some kind of protest?” he indirectly questioned me, relying on Caspian to relay the information?

“I don’t know. She also looks flushed,” Caspian mumbled.
“Perhaps she’s cold,” Wolvin suggested, starting to remove his jacket, only to be met with snickers from the group. He quickly retreated, readjusting his jacket without taking it off or offering it to me.
“What?” Caspian yelled in my face, trying to comprehend why I remained rooted to the spot like a statue.
Realizing I couldn’t hold it in much longer, I mustered the courage to ask for help. “I need to pee.”
I repeated myself, this time loud enough to bring their existence to a standstill.
“A what?” Bellamy stared me straight in the eyes, asking with genuine concern. “I’ve been holding it in for too long. Now I can’t even move—” My throat felt dry as I embarrassed myself in front of them, after making such exaggerated claims.
They fell into silence before erupting into laughter as if their lives depended on it. Bellamy slapped his t*high repeatedly, laughing so boisterously that he began to choke. Caspian collapsed onto the road, rolling around in laughter like a child.
Wolvin raised a fist to his l*ips, chuckling while his face turned red from suppressing his laughter. Emre turned away from me, sitting on the road, but his body betrayed his secret snickering.
“She was talki-ng abo-ut-” Caspian pointed his f*inger at me, and all I wanted to do was bite it off.
“She—she told me she wasn’t interested-now I understand why,” Bellamy choked out between fits of laughter. Judging by their laughter, they must have scared away countless wild animals in the woods.
“And guys—” Emre finally composed himself and pointed towards the tires, causing my l*ips to quiver and tears of helplessness to well up in my eyes. “She deflated the tires herself. Now how is she going to get home?” he continued, igniting even more laughter. I remained silent before wailing so loudly that, one by one, they quieted down.
“You guys are the cruelest mates ever. What have I done to deserve these A*ssholes?” I raised my h*ead to the sky and cried out to the moon goddess. I felt annoyed and began to cry and complain.
“Look at them-they’re so annoying. Every girl in my pack has caring and attractive mates, and here I am with these…” I muttered, lowering my h*ead and hissing with a disdainful expression, “Jokers!”
I finished my rant and frowned. They looked offended, but deep down, they knew I was right to be angry with them. Who would do such a thing to someone?
“All mates tease each other a little, you know,” Caspian shook his h*ead, adjusting his coat as he tried to defend their actions.
“No, they don’t,” I replied bitterly. “There are guys who are sweet to their mates. They take care of them so beautifully, and then there are you guys. I’m so unlucky.” I stomped my foot, and Emre rushed towards me.
“Don’t do that, you’ll-” He paused when he realized I wasn’t joining in anymore. “And who are these mates you keep talking about, the ones who are so sweeeet and cute?” Bellamy disregarded all the world’s problems and approached me to engage in yet another argument.
“I’ve seen some on TV,” I looked away, grunting and scoffing. I knew they were itching to make fun of me, but my loud complaints had temporarily made them reconsider. At least for a few minutes.
“And you gathered from TV that everyone is better than us?” Bellamy grunted, his voice filled with evident annoyance.
“No! I just know that you guys aren’t good,” I wanted to stomp my foot in frustration again, but my current condition prevented me from doing so.
“Fine, let’s help you with this issue,” Caspian unfolded his arms and gave his shoulders a jerk, finally speaking like a decent person.
“Alright, I think I’m just going to- I can’t hold it in anymore,” I said genuinely this time. There was no way we could make it back home before I unleashed a flood.
“Then do it in the woods,” Wolvin suggested. Everyone turned to him, casting judgmental looks.
“What? Haven’t you guys ever done it in the woods? Like, near a tree or something?” Wolvin seemed far too comfortable discussing it.
This guy was shy when I complimented him, but now that we were talking about pee, he became an expert. “What do we look like to you? We’re not dogs,” Bellamy argued, and Caspian nodded in agreement.
“I have. During battles, I would just pee —” Emre spoke so casually, trying to reminisce about his war memories before Caspian interrupted him. “Just pee on the enemies?” Caspian made a face and jumped away, wiping his face as if he had been urinated on.
“No! You seem like the kind who pees on everyone,” Emre hissed at Caspian, and I rolled my eyes at their childish bickering.
“Guys, long story short, that’s the only way. Gem, come with me,” Wolvin interjected, stepping between them and extending his h*and towards me. For a moment, I simply stared at it. The air between us grew awkward, not because he offered his h*and to me, but because of the way he said my name.
He called me Gem, not Gen.
A strange feeling washed over me. Did he accidentally call me the wrong name?
And then it hit me. Was there someone else in his life? Was that why he showed no interest in being i*ntimate with me?
