Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 117

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 2)

Chapter 117 His Dirty Eyes On The El*egant Lady (Caspian Diego)

“So, she was bitten by the wild wolves, and you want me to save her?” Alpha King Bernard invited us into his living room to discuss the distressing matter away from the party guests.

“She’s the alpha of my pack. Her life is of utmost importance,” my dad continued to plead, while I remained in the corner of the room, observing as Monique rolled her eyes at him.

“Hmm, I’m not sure if I have enough of that potion left, but… if I were to give you that potion, can I trust you to keep it a secret?” His words ignited a ray of hope within me. It suggested that there might be a cure.

“I will. I won’t tell a single soul,” My dad promised.

“Hmm! You see, we have gathered some henbane—,” Lord Bernard nodded and began to speak, but suddenly Monique placed her hand on his shoulder and gave him a peculiar look. “What is it?” Bernard inquired.

“You shouldn’t make such grand claims. We don’t have a cure,” she shrugged, and in one fell swoop, she shattered all our hopes.

My dad looked devastated at that moment, as she went on to explain that the stock of Henbane they obtained from the Bloody Claw Pack had been destroyed by the wild wolves. It didn’t make sense, because just a minute ago, Lord Bernard seemed willing to assist us.

“Furthermore, the potion is part of someone’s bloodstream, so I don’t believe it’s appropriate to take it away from them,” she wasn’t explaining anything to us directly, but it was clear she was hinting at something to Bernard, and he caught on.

“Right! The cure is formulated with Henbane and the potion. Since we lack both of those, I’m afraid I can’t do much,” Lord Bernard’s tone changed abruptly, sounding as if he no longer cared about anyone’s situation. “But my daughter will die,” Dad persisted, kneeling before them in desperation.

“We can’t intervene. Furthermore, you’d better kill her and surrender her b*ody.

Now that we know you have someone who could potentially transform into a wild wolf within the next few hours, we want her deceased. We wouldn’t tolerate a wild one hiding and resurfacing to cause more chaos,” Monique turned her gaze to my father, demanding Kellice’s death.

The very thought of it made my heart skip a beat. How could they discuss something so callous without a shred of concern on their faces?

“We will anticipate her lifeless b*ody within the next few hours. You wouldn’t want us to dispatch our warriors to your pack, would you?” Monique hissed before attempting to force a smile for the alpha king.

I never liked this woman. She always radiated hostility, and today, she was the one who had swayed the alpha king’s decision.

She was malevolent.

Now we were in even greater trouble, as we had to surrender our sister forever.

“Go, spend the remaining time with your daughter before you deliver her b*ody. We will only wait for a few hours,” Monique added, dismissing us.

There was nothing my father could do. They had slammed the door on our pleas. However, one thing was certain: there was a cure, and they were denying it to us.

The privileged advisors attending these parties were the only ones privileged to receive the cure, as they were concocting rules to appease Lord Bernard.

That day, a new hatred ignited within me.

“Is the pink castle prepared?”

As if the weight of losing my sister wasn’t heavy enough, I overheard Lord Bernard requesting someone on the phone for the pink castle he had ordered to be built for Gen.

While this seemed to anger my dad and breed resentment toward her, I didn’t share his sentiment. I couldn’t help but hope that Gen would have a pleasant time.

“That spoiled princess is going to be reveling in that castle while my daughter dies alone on a bed,” my dad seethed, forcibly pulling me along. “Do you still think she’s beautiful?” Just after we had left the mansion, my dad stopped the car and got out, walking over to my side and dragging me out.

I knew it would come back to me. There was no way he would get angry and not take his frustration out on me. “She’s just a child like me. What does she have to do with her father’s decisions?” It marked the first time I raised my voice and questioned my father. And I didn’t even do it for myself. I disliked how my father directed his resentment toward Gen.

She was simply an innocent-looking princess. Her only fault was being born into that troublesome royal family.

“Huh?” Dad leaned over me, pinching my cheek hard enough for me to squirm, then he muttered, “Do you know whose bloodstream holds the cure?”

The way he posed that question and locked eyes with me, I could sense another peculiar revelation was on the horizon.

“Why do you think Lady Shiloh died while her daughter survived?” he continued to interrogate me.

“It’s because they had the cure for only one person, and they chose to give it to Genevieve. Now, if you want your sister to live, you’ll need to obtain the henbane herb and Genevieve’s blood.”

I was taken aback by the revelation.

However, before we could delve further into the discussion, we were suddenly met with the scrutinizing gaze of someone who had just parked next to us.

A white car had come to a halt on the deserted road, much like us, and an exquisite woman emerged from it. She seemed to be in her early thirties, yet her striking blue eyes and blonde hair were styled in a way that made her appear even younger.

It appeared she had arrived from the same direction we had come from. Perhaps she had been at the party with Lord Bernard. Regardless of the circumstances, she was undeniably stunning and had a kind demeanor. There was a woman in the backseat of her car, cradling a newborn.

I noticed a gleam in my father’s eyes upon seeing her, and instantly, I sensed that I didn’t like where things were headed.
