Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 130

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 2)

Chapter 130 Let’s Kill Alpha Ron (Wolvin Sharp)

Everything was happening so quickly that I couldn’t figure out who the real culprit was. Someone had taken Gem, and we needed to find her. Caspian was also involved.

Impatience was growing inside me as time passed. After midnight, we would lose Caspian, but I hadn’t shared that piece of bad news with any of them yet. “Bellamy pointed out that Caspian’s phone is here too,” he said, making us wonder why he wanted to check his phone.

“Guys! His phone was discovered here, unlocked, and its battery was completely drained,” Bellamy explained, rushing to charge it before it went dark.

“Um, I don’t see how his phone can be of any help,” Emre shrugged, while I stayed silent, giving Ron a piercing look. I don’t know if relying on these guys would be worth our time.

“You guys didn’t tell her to get henbane?” the nuisance spoke up again, and I wanted to cover my ears. But I kept my cool. If he could help us find Gem, I’d have to admit he’d served a purpose in his life. At least he’d done something. “No!” Emre and Bellamy said simultaneously, responding to him like they were his puppets.

‘I need to stay calm,’ I reminded myself, recalling certain rules.

“Then somebody else must have,” during those moments, it was the first time I was impressed with Ron. I actually noticed his shoes and was genuinely pleased. They were a good choice–wait!

What did he say?

“Who could have suggested she get henbane?” I asked him in return.

“Guys!” Bellamy hissed, scrolling through Caspian’s chat.

I never knew Alphas were so keen on reading chats. The expressions on their faces when they had someone’s phone were priceless.

Then my eyes drifted to the outside; wow! The sky had turned completely dark. It looked like rain.

‘Focus, Wolvin! Stay focused.’

It was becoming increasingly difficult with every passing minute, but I held myself together for Gem’s sake. Finding her was crucial.

“Caspian’s father has been texting Vieve,” Bellamy showed us the text conversation, and suddenly, everything started to make sense.

“What did he talk to her about?” Emre quickly asked, sharing our concerns about their conversation. The way Bellamy was hurriedly going through the conversation was worrying me too.

His father seemed a bit strange. ‘Wait! No! Don’t judge someone with no evidence,’ the comment about Caspian’s father came from a deep place within me. No matter how h*ard I tried, I couldn’t forget certain things.

“He has mentioned… henbane and all. Maybe he knew… he knew how to cure Caspian? But then what happened to Vieve? Why would he take her?” It was a good question, but no one had an answer.

“Guys, wait!” Emre pointed at us as if we were about to leave, even though he was the one who asked us to wait. We watched him make a call, and every few seconds, his eyes widened.

“What’s going on?” I was growing impatient. I had too many responsibilities to handle. Caspian was on the verge of turning wild, and Gem was still missing. And I was hungry.

‘Where is my apple?’ I glanced around, spotting it near the kitchen counter. “Would it be too much if I go grab it and munch on it while we’re all so worried?” I didn’t want to seem insensitive, but I couldn’t perform well on an empty stomach.

‘They’ll understand. I’m a big guy; I need my energy,’ I reasoned, feeling my m*outh water at the sight of those red apples. They seemed so inviting, practically begging me to take a bite. Then, a memory of Gem flashed before my eyes. She looked innocently mischievous when she asked me all those questions and then told me she wanted to k*iss me. If Ariel hadn’t intervened that day, I might have tasted her l*ips. ‘Focus!’

“So, how long are we waiting?” I placed my hands on my waist and watched Bellamy give me an annoyed look.

I didn’t care much for these alpha egos. “Okay, thank you,” Emre ended the call and turned to face us.

“It was my…” his speech faded as I mumbled under my breath, ‘sidechick.’

I knew he wouldn’t call her that because he wanted to be sophisticated, but that’s exactly what Ariel and Abigail were. They weren’t their fated mates, so they were sidechicks.

‘Does that make me a sidechick too?’

‘Focus!’

I shook my head and focused on what Emre was saying.

“She told me she read something in that diary. There’s a cure, but it’s h*ard to get because not only does it involve Henbane, but it also requires Gennie’s blood,” Emre finished, and I found myself lost once again.

Why her blood?

“So basically, we have to mix Henbane with her blood and feed the wild one the mixture. If the person has been bitten for a long time, it will take some time to work, and the dosage will be significant.

So, most likely, two times a day. But if they’ve been bitten recently, even one dose is enough,” Emre explained, but everything still seemed confusing.

It didn’t explain why Gem was missing.

“So, Caspian’s father wanted the cure, but then he left the patient behind and spilled everything else?” I scratched the back of my n*eck, as it didn’t make any sense. “That’s what I don’t get,” Bellamy mumbled.

But it was clear that his father was the last person who had seen her. The blood on the porch was also evidence of a struggle. The fact that he didn’t even text Gem again to ask her if she got the Henbane was proof that he already knew she had it because he had her.

“So, what are we going to do now?” Emre hissed with worry.

“We’re going to find that person who took her away,” I said determinedly, “and we’re going to cure Caspian too.”

I watched them look at me and then at Ron. Now, what should we do with that individual?

‘Kill him and bury him in the woods. Nobody will ever find out.’
