Alpha Alexander by LS Barbosa
Chapter 144 (Delilah)
I looked at the man that I was in love with, my c*hest aching as I knew that I was sending him to save another woman. The woman who tore the two of us apart.
I knew that things would have been different if she wasn’t around, but at this point, I had one main thing that was different between the two of us. And though he pretended to understand, I knew that Alexander didn’t.
I wasn’t the type to follow a man where he went, nor was I the type to be weak beside a man. Yes, I was hurt by Alexander, and I fought to win him back, but never once was I discriminated the way that she was. It was something that even Alexander knew not to do. The man wasn’t stupid, the last thing that he wanted or needed was to cause a fuss between the two of us, especially knowing that I was a daughter of an Alpha.
Whether or not that Alpha and I had a good relationship as a daughter and her father; he knew that they would be causing a fuss if they saw that I was being just as insulted.

And right now, considering that he was benefitting out of what I was doing for him, I knew that he would be very careful with how he was treating me.
“Go, she is upstairs, I will keep them from entering the cell.” I said and he took a deep breath. He walked up the stairs, and I looked around, waiting for anyone to show up. I knew that my father was going to come in a bit, it was him who came every once and a while to check on Alexander. At least, that is what I thought that he was doing. Little did I know was that the man was bargaining my dignity with the man that I loved. It pained me that he would make me as cheap as to do so, but I had no other option but to fight back this way.
At least, when Alexander was out of here, I knew that he wouldn’t be insulting me the way that he was anymore.
“Delilah?” He called, catching my attention. I had to fight back the frown that almost formed on my face as I turned to look at him. His eyes met mine and he shook his head in question, clearly confused about what I was doing here by the door. In truth, I had no explanation, but I knew that I had to wing things. He had to believe that I wasn’t up to something behind his back; otherwise, neither Alexander or me would be out of this safely. “I was looking for you, father.” I said, and he frowned in confusion before approaching me. The two of us were not as close, that much I had to admit. The man has done nothing but discriminate me since Alexander and I had our fallout, and though I was quiet, it didn’t mean that he didn’t hurt me as a person. “To what do I owe the honor?” He asked, raising an eyebrow at me. I knew that it wasn’t something that he expected me to say. But I could wing things on the fact that I wasn’t seeing him anymore, and that was something that he, might, hopefully buy. Especially since it was somewhat true. Not that it was any different from how things were before, the one difference now was the fact that we were not back at our pack.
“I haven’t seen you since we arrived back to this pack. And we are not in our grounds; therefore, that will raise questions, and the two of us know it.” I said, looking him in the eye. He raised an eyebrow at me before nodding in understanding. I knew that he could suspect something, and when they all found out that Alexander was gone, I had to be out of here. Otherwise, I knew that even my life would be in danger. To say the least, no one would spare me for a second, especially when I knew that they were aiming to kill anyone who thought of trying to help the Alpha. I should know firsthand. I have seen them killing his pack members before sending Carter to Russia.
“The two of us are not here to play father and daughter. If there is nothing important to tell me, then I do suggest that you get out of my way.” He said, wanting to walk past me. I stood in front of him, stopping him. And he frowned in confusion.
“Are you going to keep treating me like I am a disgrace throughout my whole life?” I asked, wanting to sympathize him. I didn’t want things to be bloody, not yet anyway. I knew that they were going to be, and that was going to be part of my revenge, the revenge that I deserved to take for being as publically humiliated by him and by everyone who knew me. It pained me how they treated me, but I knew not to expect any less from them. To say the least, it was how they showed me that I didn’t matter.
“You deserved the way that you were being treated. As for being a disgrace, you ran away with a man when you knew that you were supposed to be chosen for another. Not only that, but you even chose to reject your mate; therefore, if you want me to really give you what you deserve, stay. Else, get the f*uck out of my sight.” He threatened, glaring at me. My eyes h*ardened at the reminder. The man, my father, was going to send me as a bride to an abusive men. The same man that has killed most of the consorts that he had as mating ‘toys’ for not giving him the heir that he wanted.
The one and only, Alpha Vladimir… “You wanted to send me as a bride to murderer of women, or am I wrong?” I asked, and he chuckled before shaking his head.
“He kills them when they don’t satisfy his need. Their duties are done, and he gets rid of them. I doubt that you would have been that stupid, but then again, you chose to run away, and therefore, I do believe that you f*ucking are.” He said, and I shook my head at him, my c*hest aching at the fact that my father was speaking to me in such a sense. “Needless to say, considering that Alexander stole HIS woman, the man got his pay back. I doubt that he would be harming you anymore.”
“What does Scarlett have to do with him hurting me? The man knew that I didn’t want him long before he even knew of Scarlett.” I said, and he chuckled.
“The man knew that you didn’t want him. But that doesn’t mean that he didn’t have his eyes on you. To say the least, considering that his ‘friend’ chose to betray him in such a way; his wife was the payback.” He said, explaining the situation to me. “To say the least, the omega, or should I call her, the Alpha slave, would be a good consort. She has the b*ody for it, and if she has proven to be fertile by giving birth to that little parasite Now, all we have to do is wait.”
“And do you expect her to allow him to t*ouch her? She hasn’t allowed any man that wasn’t Alexander to do so. Whether or not I was in his life did not matter to her. And it is and was obvious to me that the pair had a spark between them.” I said, ignoring the pain that I felt in my c*hest as I processed my own words. “I doubt that she would allow him to lay a finger on her let alone let him t*ouch her.”
“Whoever said that he would be waiting for her permission?” He asked, making my c*hest drop. I could hear Anastasia upstairs and I couldn’t help but frown momentarily as I heard the child’s cry. “Be a doll and go check on the baby. At least make yourself f*ucking useful until I have managed to find a use of having you as a daughter.”
He walked past me and I couldn’t help but frown as I processed his words. Now, my anger getting the best of me as I saw that I was nothing but a ‘benefit’ for him as a father. It wasn’t how I wanted to be treated, and needless to say, I knew that him entering the room would cost more lives than we could afford.
I pulled my gun out of my holster, thankful for it being there before quickly loading it and putting the silencer. It was something that my mother taught me to do. I wasn’t one who was allowed to have weapons when I was with Alexander, but that didn’t mean that it was the case when I was back at home. They came in benefit when I needed them in such situations.
I took a deep breath, ignoring the clench that I felt in my c*hest as he opened the cell’s door. He took a step down the stairs before I pressed the trigger. Watching as the bullet pierced the back of his head. I shot another one at the back of his n*eck and watched as his pool of blood poured from both wounds before his b*ody dropped as I closed the cell’s door. “My apologies, father, but I am no slave who was born for your benefit…”
