The Alpha’s Exclusive Stripper by Selena Madrid Chapter 18

The Alpha’s Exclusive Stripper by Selena Madrid

Chapter 18

“IGNORE THEM. Those girls are jealous b*itches. They hate you because you have what they don’t,” Mariz calmly said, not bothering to lower her voice. In fact, I think she was making sure that the students would hear every word that comes from her m*outh.

She was savage that way.

If she wasn’t a wolf, I would have liked her. There was no doubt about that.

“You have Alpha Trevor’s attention. And those girls? Even if they die in front of him, he would never look their way. He wouldn’t even blink.”

Mariz smirked which reminded me of Trevor. His pack members were exactly like him that I suddenly felt like he was still with me. She nonchalantly motioned the buildings to me, totally ignoring how the students’ eyes smoldered with anger, especially the women. But how did they even know my connection with Trevor so easily?

What gave it away? Because I was with Mariz and two of his pack members? Was being with them that unusual?

As if she had read my mind, she smiled at me and explained, “The alpha didn’t leave you by yourself, Priscilla. Remember the day he bit you? He marked you with his scent. Everyone could smell him on you. That’s why they know whose pack you belong to.”

I forced myself to keep walking while digesting Mariz’s every word. Every single thing her alpha did was a revelation.

I thought we were supposed to hide the truth about us? But then again, it was not uncommon for alphas without lunas to play around. That’s why they called me his w*hore. They thought I was nothing but a plaything since no one in their right minds would ever assume that I was Trevor Rodrigo’s mate which I guessed, worked to our advantage in a way.

“I… didn’t know that,’’ I answered. “He never told me.”

“Now you know. You need to trust him and his plans for you, Priscilla. But he knows it won’t be easy. The first rule of survival is to trust yourself. Trust what your instincts tell you,” Mariz said while we continued walking around. “Once you start trusting yourself more, maybe then you can begin trusting others.”

I didn’t answer and just took a deep breath.

Ignoring the rest of the students was h*ard, but I endured it. I had to. Every student we passed by were looking at us and were blatantly murmuring about me. Some were looking at me with interest as if I was some monkey in a zoo but the majority looked at me with disgust.

The university was gigantic and very beautiful. There were colorful flowers everywhere. We stopped in front of a room. At the door, there was a golden embossed name that says Frank Lamont, Howard University Director. Mariz knocked three times before the door opened. We were greeted by a middle-aged man with a beard and a mustache.

Another alpha.

“It’s been a while, Frank. How have you been7” Mariz greeted him.

“I’m good. Take a seat,” Frank answered with a smile.

We sat on his black leather couch. It was a rather simple office, not what I was expecting from someone so wealthy. It contained just the basics: a desk, a chair, a couch, a coffee table, and a shelf filled with books. The only luxury I saw was the painting from a very famous painter.

“Can I offer you both anything? A drink perhaps?”

“Thank you but don’t bother. We won’t be staying for long since I still have to tour Priscilla around after this.”

“I see. How is Alpha Trevor doing?”

It wasn’t h*ard to detect the fondness and respect in his voice as he asked about Trevor. They were obviously close to each other. But then again, Trevor graduated in this university on top of his class.

“The usual. He’s still busy planning the Council’s murder.”

I was lucky I wasn’t drinking anything or else, I’d have choked on it. Mariz blurted those words so casually as if that was not a crime. The council was very s*ensitive. Even just talking about them could get you in prison. Granted that we were near lldri Falls which was Trevor’s territory, but that was still dangerous.

But what amazed me was how Frank laughed as if he was used to hearing about it. When they saw my expression, they both laughed once again as if it was an old joke and not a form of treason.

Trevor was weird. And so were the people close to him.

“Our secret is safe with you, right?” Mariz said, her eyes were dancing with amusement.

I cleared my throat and replied, “Of course.”

“Kindly tell the Alpha that if he needs an extra h*and, I would leave my post anytime to help him bury the bodies. I know a perfect place where we can’t be traced.”

Mariz chuckled. “Come on. I thought you already retired from that?”

“I would come back anytime he wants me to.” Still smiling, Frank turned to face me. He was nothing like the alphas I had met so far. There wasn’t l*ust in his eyes as he looked at me which made me feel a little comfortable around him. There wasn’t hatred in his eyes either. Just… pure delight.

But why?

“So, it’s her?” he asked.

Mariz nodded. “The one and only.”

I had no idea what that meant. Still, I smiled and introduced myself. “It’s an honor to meet you, Director. I’m Priscilla Wilson from the Crimson Moon pack.”

I could sense Mariz’s eyes on me and for some reason, I knew she was smiling.

I extended my h*and and Frank accepted it. “Alpha Trevor assured me that you are a very capable woman. I look forward to seeing what you can do.”

My smile almost faltered.

I wanted to smack my head on something from the pressure I’d been feeling since this morning. And the pressure kept on increasing every minute, putting me on edge.

Trevor didn’t have to lie like that for my sake. I didn’t even get to enter high school. The first time I held a pen and a book was just a few years ago. Before that, I knew nothing about consonants and vowels. I may be a fast-learner like what Trent and Addison said but compared to the level of education the other students here had, I was behind a million times.

“I will work h*ard, Director,” I answered instead.

Frank’s smile widened. “I know you will. Welcome to Howard University, Priscilla.” His expression shifted and he became serious. “You may be able to get in here through your alpha’s help but know that whether you get to stay here or not in the next semester depends solely on your capabilities. You will be graded fairly. You wouldn’t taint your Alpha’s name, would you?”

I swallowed h*ard. The challenge in Frank’s eyes was visible. “I will do my best not to. Thank you, Director.”

After a while, Mariz and I bid Frank goodbye. She started touring me around the campus. She showed me the building where I would have to go five days a week. It was located in front of the mages’ building.

“Graduating in this university will put you on top of the game, Priscilla. It will open several doors for you,” Mariz said after showing me where the canteen was.

“Can I be honest?” I asked instead.

She raised her eyebrow. “Go ahead. You are always free to tell me what you think.”

“I think it’s unfair that you brought a human here. How do I even survive from this?” I glanced around. “Wherever I look, all I see are… enemies.”

Every wolf here lived in a bubble, especially the women. They never had to worry about their safety unlike me.

“Alpha Trevor is the strongest alpha in the kingdom. In fact, he is the strongest wolf alive. He is not going to let his mate be defenseless and weak when he has enemies left and right. If you cannot be a strong wolf, it’s okay. But you need to at least learn how to be a strong woman, Priscilla.”

Mariz was about to say more but then we heard her message alert tone. Her brows creased. She inserted her phone back in her clutch before turning to me. “There’s a pack emergency. I need to leave now. You can get your uniform and books by yourself, right? I had already shown you the way earlier. Do you remember where?”

I nodded.

“Good. Declan and Ryder will wait for you outside the campus. See you later.”

She started walking away but then she returned in front of me and said, “Do not ever let anyone walk all over you. That is your first mission.”

And then Mariz was gone.

When I no longer saw her, I heard a growl from behind me. I wanted to scream but I suddenly couldn’t find my voice. My next instinct was to run to her but then a group of girls blocked my way. A wicked smile curved their red l*ips.

The growling from behind me became louder. It was close to me. I could feel it.

My heart pounded h*ard against my ribs. It was a cold day but sweat started forming on my forehead. Slowly, I turned around.

And there, I saw three wolves quickly running to my direction.

I thought today was for meeting the director and for the tour. I thought the real challenge would begin on Monday next week.

I was wrong.

It begins today. It begins… right now.
