The Alpha’s Exclusive Stripper by Selena Madrid
Chapter 87
IF DAD or the Council had heard Trevor’s endearment, they would be baring their fangs to him right now. Luckily, he seemed to make sure that no one else would hear but me, like that four-letter word was exclusive for my ears only.
When I hesitated, Zane didn’t. He gave my h*and to the alpha king. He patted the latter’s shoulder and gave me an encouraging smile before turning away.
Come to think of it.
This would be our first dance.

Back then, we were too busy and we didn’t get to date. To go to the movies. To do the simple things that ordinary couples do.
And just when I thought we had lost the chance to do it, just when I thought it was goodbye, here we are again. Standing next to each other.
Addison said that when two people were meant to be together, fate would pull some strings for them to end up together. However, dad and everyone around me were pretty convinced that this encounter was not just fate pulling strings.
It was Trevor pulling strings.
A while ago, I could feel him observing me intently after I was introduced as the king’s daughter. Every expression I had, every movement I made, it was like he was cataloging every part of it in his head.
He squeezed my h*and lightly before putting it on his shoulder. He grabbed me by the waist while he entangled his f*ingers with mine. We were so close to each other; our l*ips were almost t*ouching.
“Priscilla,” he uttered as if he was testing the sound of my name on his l*ips.
I swallowed the lump forming in my throat and whispered, “Trevor.”
“I was right. You did know me that night. Are you finally going to confess to me that you were there to spy on me, love?”
“I told you I wasn’t there for that!”
My heart skipped a beat when Trevor smirked.
“So, you were there just to k*iss me then? You should have said so. I would have obliged gladly. Then I wouldn’t have to punish you.” His m*outh t*ouched my ear when he added, “I would have been kind enough to make you cum.”
Trevor was a tease then. And that part of him seemed to have magnified this past couple of months. I could feel my cheeks heating up.
“For an alpha king, you are such a jerk; do you know that?” I said while desperately trying to hide how much his words had affected me, how just one look at him
and my weak heart had decided right there and then that it was time to fall in love all over again.
He spun me around. “And for a princess, you are a liar. Doesn’t that make us quite a lovely pair?”
Before I could answer, I felt them. And judging by how the spark in Trevor’s eyes had disappeared, I knew he had sensed them, too. He had smelled their scent. Despite the security around the area, the vampires didn’t smell them the way we do. We could smell the stench of their mana.
When our eyes met, we knew it.
We were under attack.
I quickly looked around and saw Zephyr tensed up. I knew he was already linking with everyone.
“Calm down, love,” Trevor said as he pulled me closer, dragging my attention back to him. We were still dancing as he whispered, “The mages are basically humans with powers. Their senses are not as heightened as ours. At the count of ten, I want you to dim the surroundings. Can you do that?”
I nodded.
“If I bring their heads to you, will you meet me at Carlton hotel’s rooftop tomorrow night at eight?”
“Let’s see. Right now, there are about eight mages behind us. Another eight in front of us. Nine on our right and eleven of them on our left. If you can bring me five heads, we’ll discuss that date again.”
“If I bring you ten, you will owe me a k*iss. One k*iss for every enemy that I will lay down on your feet. How about that, love?”
In the middle of the danger looming around us, I could not help but smile. “You’re crazy. Don’t let my dad hear that.”
He chuckled. “Are you ready?”
“Yes.”
We stopped moving and together, we uttered, “Ten.”
I saw the spark of surprise in his eyes when I started and ended the countdown along with him as I blasted the lights. I knew he would do that. I lived with him after all.
Shifters s*ucked at counting.
Gasps filled the Great Hall as darkness surrounded us. Seconds later, their gasps turned into screams upon the explosion everywhere.
“Soldiers! Protect His Majesty and Her Highness!” Spencer commanded as they brought out their guns.
Trevor disappeared along with his pack. Dad rushed to me, tearing the mages’ flesh with his claws when they tried blocking his path. Zephyr helped the guards in leading the guests to the exit with his mana. Zane was about to come to me but I shook my head.
“Have you forgotten? Before I became a princess, I was a warrior. I can protect myself. Please make sure that everyone is safe.”
I heard the faith in his voice when he said, “I will.”
“Princess!” Dad screamed.
“I’ll be fine, dad!”
He and Dion were the only ones among the vampires who weren’t using guns. They had their swords with them as they fought the mages.
I took my high heels off and for the first time since I got here, I allowed my wolf to take over. I shifted. There was fire everywhere, burning the guests. The windows and the glass walls were now shattered. I searched for the cause of the chaos.
Through the darkness, I saw the mages chanting in a corner. I ran to them, broke down their barrier, and attacked the c*ore of their strength. The one in the middle with the loudest chant and the strongest aura.
I lunged at him and ripped his flesh with my teeth. The fire stopped at once although the explosion in different parts of the castle continued. I didn’t give them the chance to get back to their spell. I opened my m*outh and burned them with my own fire.
They tried fighting it as they sped away but my wolf felt so alive again for the first time. She had just been freed. And right now, there was nothing more she wanted but to hunt.
She was thirsty for blood.
For the next couple of hours, we hunted each and every mage. I circled around the castle, biting and ripping the people who dared to ruin the party which my dad and the staff had worked so h*ard to prepare for me.
The dawn was breaking when the screams, the gunfire, and the explosion finally stopped. The mages were already gone but the destruction they caused were all around us.
I just shifted back to my human form when my beast started roaring inside me again. And then I heard a familiar roar, responding to my wolf’s call.
That was when I noticed a burning tower but the flames had died down after a red wolf had stepped out of it. There were soldiers running around us, frantic people screaming for the name of their loved ones, and Dad’s voice assuring his people that no one had died.
I could hear them all. I could feel my assistant covering me with a towel. But my attention was still on the wolf a few meters away from me. His golden eyes found mine. His fur was filled with blood.
Trevor ran to me and when he was finally close enough that I could smell his scent, he shifted, allowing me to see all of him again. In the middle of the chaos, we stood next to each other. That was when I saw it.
The tattoo on his c*hest.
It was the ancient alphabet. Only the shifters knew about it. That was the first thing I learned in Howard.
When I tried transcribing the letters on his tattoo, my heart thumped and my eyes watered.
It was a name.
My name.
