Chapter 91 (Priscilla)
TREVOR bit my lower l*ip before finally releasing my m*outh. He cupped my cheeks and smirked when he saw my now swollen l*ips.
“How could you think I wouldn’t be here? Let me tell you this, love.” He inched closer and l*icked my earlobe before dragging his h*and down my h*ips. And then he whispered, “There are only three places I would always be. Beside you. On top of you. And inside you. Any other places aside from those will not be considered.”
My face flushed but my smile grew wider. “Are we sure we are still discussing places here and not positions?”
The wicked gleam in his eyes was back. “Love, if you want to talk about positions, there are dozens I could think of. How about I show them all to you after this?”

Right. This was truly the man I loved.
Flawed. Rude.
And a pervert… Only for me.
But I wouldn’t settle for anything less.
Both of us had been busy after the attack the other day. Trevor insisted on joining the lords and my dad inside the interrogation room where some of the invaders were brought in. Most of the soldiers called that place a torture chamber.
Today, I assisted Zephyr and the other mages with the spell for the castle reconstruction. There were also announcements that had to be made to appease the public. And in the afternoon, we had a meeting regarding the locations of the Order that the invaders had confessed.
Only this time, Trevor was included in the meeting.
There were constantly people around us that’s why we didn’t have the chance to talk. After the meeting, he and his pack had already left and dad summoned me for another meeting although it was just between me and him to discuss Lisandro’s prediction, the only mage in the kingdom who could see glimpses of the future.
But I couldn’t find it in me to feel the same fear.
How could I when my source of strength was here?
“Before anything, don’t you think we need to talk about the past first?”
“I know what happened. You ran away from me.”
I swallowed. “I know I did something terrible.” I was about to apologize but when his eyes narrowed, I stopped myself and just uttered the next thing I wanted to say. “God, I love you so much, Trevor.”
And I was rewarded with a bright smile that melted my heart.
He rubbed his forehead against mine. “You can still run, love. I won’t stop you. But I hope the next time you run, you run towards me. Not away from me.”
I nodded. I was so sick of running anyway.
“We will talk about the rest but not now. This night is yours.”
“What do you mean?”
“Your welcome party was ruined. And you are the only one who didn’t get a present from me when I came into this realm. Let me make it up to you tonight.”
“But you don’t have to. You being here is more than enough “
“I insist.”
He spun me around and made me face the massive LED screen in front of us. My photos were showing right there. There were stolen shots from the welcome party… where my eyes were glowing while dad and I were chatting.
Where I was smiling while Trevor and I were dancing and while the guests were performing.
“The past me didn’t stop until he found out about this. It’s his gift for you. For months, he prepared for this day but a lot of things happened. The area where this is supposed to take place had changed so I had to improvise a little.”
My brows creased. “I don’t understand.”
“Later, you will. According to a witness, many years ago, at ten in the evening, a miracle happened to a small resort she was in. There were butterflies that surrounded the place and flowers bloomed everywhere, followed by a baby’s cry. She was a doctor but that was the loudest cry she had ever heard. She h*anded the baby to a silver-haired woman, she said it was the most adorable baby she had seen in her life.”
My throat constricted. “You mean…”
Trevor nodded. “Yes, love. The baby was you. Your mother was crying when she held you in her arms and called you her princess. That happened twenty-four years ago today. The witness had a record that proved it.
“From now on, you no longer have to wonder about your real birthday anymore. You would no longer have to hesitate when you blow the candles. You can start celebrating it freely from today onwards.” He planted a k*iss on my forehead. “Happy birthday, love. Thank you for existing.”
Trevor snapped his f*ingers. I looked around and was surprised when I saw a garden of flowers. We were standing in the middle of all of them. Before I could ask, the dark sky lit up from the countless fireworks.
I tried to fight it.
But the tears just keep rolling down.
My shoulders shook as I watched the colorful fireworks. Each time I thought I was done with the tears; Trevor would take me by surprise.
And when I heard people suddenly singing a birthday song, I started sobbing especially when I saw dad holding a birthday cake. Zane, Zephyr, Spencer, and Trevor’s pack were also here. I didn’t notice them earlier.
Dad was glaring at Trevor.
“Why did you inform me at the very last minute?” he snarled at Trevor but he smiled when he caught me looking at him. “Happy birthday, sweetheart.”
“Why does it matter what time I informed you? You are not the one I was planning to surprise, your majesty,” Trevor shot back, frowning, although his face softened when he turned to me. “Go on. Make a wish, love.”
“You prepared all these?”
He shrugged. “I was told that if I want a Priscilla Blanche in my life, I should earn her. Here I am. Earning you.”
“Thank you.” My voice cracked. I glanced at everyone who was now smiling at me. “Thank you all so much.”
I blew the candles on the cake. Dad k*issed me on my left cheek and Trevor k*issed me on the other. And as the guests stood there to watch the fireworks, I turned to him.
To the man who had never given up on me even when there were times that I’d given up on us and on myself.
I looked at him and he was already looking at me.
Trevor brushed my tears away with his f*ingers. “Don’t cry. I live for this, you know. I live to make you smile. To make you happy. To serve you and protect you. Priscilla Blanche, I live for you.”
