Alpha Alexander by LS Barbosa
Chapter 154 (Scarlett)
Netanya and I have been running around for days, trying to find what she called ‘the secret tunnels’.
Though she did claim that there was a path right outside Vladimir’s Estate, I wasn’t surprised when I found the number of men who stood by the gates, waiting for our arrival.
The fact that the woman held a knife at me was something, but the fact that she was killed right before my eyes was another.
Vladimir really proved that he had no remorse, and that was something that scared the life out of me.

I still didn’t even know what Alexander was doing here or how he managed to get here, but I knew that I was thankful for his presence. Judging by the circumstance that we were in, I couldn’t help but wonder how things would have gone if he wasn’t there to help us when he did.
Alexander pushed me behind him and Vladimir chuckled.
“Do you really believe that you would be able to hide her from me, Alexander?” He asked, glaring at him. “You had a princess between your hands, and you didn’t know her value. Now, I am going to show her the value that she deserves, well, in any case, she would be treated the way that she deserves to be after the stunt that she tried pulling.”
“Her royal, pure blood is not to mix with a demon like yours, and though you believe that it is the only blood compatible to yours. You are not going to have her as a bride.” Alexander said, making my eyes widen in surprise.
“What are you…?”
“Ah, the little wolf doesn’t even know who she is.” Vladimir said, and Alexander growled. “Is it something that you also hid from her through this whole time too? You know, you all tend to have the habit of doing so, and thanks to your little ex girlfriend here, that secret has reached me.”
I looked at Delilah, my heart racing against my c*hest as I shook my head before Alexander wrapped his hand around my arm, stopping me from going anywhere. My hands shook, and my whole b*ody did as well, but I knew better than to move an inch to try and fight back right now. I was drained and confused, and judging by what I was hearing, I had a lot of bullshit to deal with. “Are you not going to react, Scarlett? Or have you gotten so used to them using you this way that you have forgotten that you can have enough pride to actually respond to their bullshit?” Vladimir asked, making my c*hest burn. “Mind you, you only had an attitude against me. You tend to turn into this f*ucking weak, whiney wolf whenever you’re around Alexander.”
“You f*ucking bastard…” I went to take a step from behind Alexander only for him to tighten his grip around me just as Vladimir pulled his gun out. My eyes widened in surprise and the man laughed. “It is easy to scare you, but right now, I think that I need to have a little more fun. You know, watch each and every member die in that tunnel.” He said, nodding ahead of him. Alexander growled before Vladimir took a step forward with his gun. My heart raced, but Alexander held his ground before the smell of oil and fire made my heart drop. My stomach churned, and if I was weak before, then my wolf was giving me a surge of energy and the instinct to run.
However, at this point, I knew that there was no way that I was going to be able to do so.
“Considering the fact that you wish to die along their side, I don’t mind, you will burn alive and I will be watching your agony with great p*leasure. As for my heir, you do know that you have a daughter, and I am more than willing to wait…” both Alexander and I growled at his words, and he chuckled. “It is a debt that you owe me for keeping the two of you safe. Considering as parents, that you refused to pay your due, I think that it is only fair that she does, don’t you?”
“You f*ucking sick…”
“ALEXANDER!” Delilah yelled just as one of the men shot his first gun. Alexander moved from the bullet, however, one of our men was shot instead, and Alexander frowned as he saw him falling on the ground. I looked at my mate whose eyes were wide in surprise for a second before he turned to face the Alpha. Vladimir smirked, and Alexander walked toward him. “I take it that you are going to choose combat, first to drop is dead.” Vladimir said, and Delilah growled. Two men came toward me, and I took a deep breath before my eyes darkened as I dodged the first bullet that was fired by using one of the men’s bodies. The man accidentally shot his friend, and I took the gun from my ‘shield’ man and shot the other. Both bodies dropped dead before I looked at Alexander and Vladimir.
The two men had their arms locked with one another, and Vladimir went to snap Alexander’s n*eck only for him to somehow turn things around and drop the man on the ground. My heart raced, and I went to try and help only for my shoulder to be shot, making me frown. I looked up and found the man who shot me before growling and shooting two bullets at him. Another came to strike, however, when I tried shooting the gun was empty.
I shook my head and hit the man with the gun, taking him off guard before grabbing him by his collar and getting on top of him. I used my knees and t*highs to wrap around his n*eck as I sat on his shoulder before snapping it. His b*ody fell to the ground before he could think of moving. “Nice moves,” one man said, catching my attention. “It is too bad that you have to go to…”
The man was shot, dropping to the ground only for my eyes to meet Delilah’s who handed me a gun. “The last person that I expected helping me, is you.” I admitted and she shrugged.
“I am full of surprises. How about we help your husband before we discuss them?” She asked, and I nodded. I looked at Vladimir who was locked in combat with Alexander. Both men had blood oozing from different parts of their bodies, but neither one of them seemed to care as Vladimir bared his canines. Alexander’s were out too, and I knew that it was a matter of time before their wolves took instinct. And that was going to be bloody.
Two men came at me and using Delilah’s gun, I shot them both, momentarily getting distracted from my mate. My heart dropped as I saw Alexander on the ground with fire behind him, however, that wasn’t what actually scared me, it was the knife that was dug deep in his waist as Vladimir held a gun on him.
“Say your last words.” He said, looking at Alexander. My eyes met his for a second before he smiled, giving me the silent message to push the trigger. My heart raced, and I held the gun, making sure to aim it at the man who has caused me more pain than I could have lived through.
“Scarlett, I love you.” He said, but just as I was shooting the bullet, my eyes widened in surprise at the sound of a different gun. I frowned as I followed the sound, watching as another bullet was fired, and another, and another.
It was Netanya. The woman walked as if she were dying, but she was very much alive. Her eyes were fixed on Vladimir for a second as his b*ody dropped. One bullet to his lower back, another to his upper, and the last one on his shoulder. Her b*ody dropped, and she lay on her back, hissing in pain before looking at both Alexander and I as Alexander rose to his feet.
“Netanya?” I asked, wanting to help her.
“Leave,” she whispered to me, and I shook my head.
“You helped…”
“I got my revenge…” she whispered, smiling at me. “Now, it is time for you two to get yours. Just go, I’m dying anyway…”
