Offered to the Lycan King by Misha K Chapter 200

Offered to the Lycan King by Misha K

Chapter 200

Two weeks later.

“How do I look?” Lia asked Shiloh, blinking her eyes nervously. She was standing in her room in her bridal dress. “Goddess!” Shiloh rasped. “I haven’t seen a more beautiful bride.” She smoothened the waves in the skirt of her white gown and h*anded her the white bouquet of roses.

Lena came over to her and k*issed her temple. She slid her veil over her face and said, “You look like a Luna. So stop fretting.”

Lia g*roaned. For the past two weeks she had irritated Lena to the level that Lena would go mad at her. They had shopped for her dresses and the bridal gown was the most tedious shopping. As for the decoration of the castle-River had hired a wedding planner for it.

“It is time,” Shawn’s voice came. He was standing at the door, waiting for her patiently to take her to the Moon Goddess temple.

“But mom,” Lia whined. “There would be so many people. I heard that the entire pack has flocked to the temple. That means I am going to be under heavy scrutiny!”

Lena shook her head. “So what? You would be under heavy scrutiny at all times. And then some more. The girls of the pack will be jealous of you while the men would be envious of Arthur and Hawk. No one in the pack is as beautiful as my daughters.”

Shiloh giggled. “I can agree to that.”

Lena rolled her eyes. “There go her narcissistic tendencies!” She squeezed Lia’s h*and. “Don’t worry. Everything is going to be fine. This wedding is nothing but a formal show. It is a statement of the royalty that they have found their future Luna. The news that you have wedded the two Alphas of the Dark Moon pack is going to spread like wildfire, which is essential. This is the way packs see how strong and powerful other packs are.” Lia took a deep breath in, feeling the weight of responsibility on her shoulders. She closed her eyes for a silent prayer and when she opened them, she held her chin high. She needed to feel confident to show confidence. “Lia! We have to start moving!” Shawn called from outside.

Lia nodded. “Let’s go.”

Shiloh lifted the train of her veil as Lena opened the door for her. When Shawn looked at her, his jaw dropped. “You look gorgeous!” he managed to say through his choked t*hroat. “I wish you could stay longer with me.” He spread his arms.

“Oh daddy!” Lia threw herself in his arms and snuggled in his c*hest.

Shawn caressed her back and k*issed her head. “Let’s go, sweetheart.” He gave his arm to her and she took it immediately.

They walked all the way to the temple that was on the premise of the castle. Lia noticed a large crowd was waiting silently for her arrival. Her heart rate spiked as everyone’s gaze fell on her, but she calmed herself, reminding herself of the confidence she needed.

This was the first time she was seeing the temple. A tall structure built with marble, green lawns wrapped around it. Scent of roses wafted through with the gusts of cool wind.

She climbed the steps and when they reached the landing, she saw an open courtyard with a surrounding corridor that was supported by several tall pillars. “Daddy,” she whispered.

“Yes Lia?”

“I am scared.”

He squeezed her h*and in both his large ones. “My Lia won’t get afraid of this. I know you can do it.” Shawn knew that Lia’s fear stemmed from the fact that she was kidnapped very early and she never saw the true happiness between parents. She thought that Natalie and Garry loved each other, but that trust broke when Garry tried to r*ape her. “This is going to be different. I promise.”

Feeling a little reassured, she nodded.

They reached the sanctum of the temple where the statue of Moon Goddess stood. And there she saw Arthur and Hawk, both wearing back tuxedos. They were looking so confident and gorgeous and proud that whatever little anxiety she had, disappeared. They flashed a smile at her and she blushed. Shawn patted her h*and again and left her at the steps of the sanctum to join Hunter and River and the rest of the family. Shiloh dropped her train, took her bouquet and walked to the side.

Lia entered the sanctum where the Shaman was waiting for them. He bowed to her and smiled.

She went to stand opposite to her mates who couldn’t stop staring at her. Her cheeks heated till her ears under their intense gazes.

“Today, under the auspicious full moon,” the Shaman started. “We stand here to witness the wedding of Arthur and Hawk, future Alphas of the Dark Moon pack with Lia Mendez, who will their future Luna.” He turned towards the statue of the Moon Goddess and raised his h*ands to chant incantations. Soon a small stone at the base of the statue popped open and a wooden tray slid out. It had a dagger with a golden hilt. The Shaman picked up the dagger and turned to face the twins.

“Please give me your h*ands.” When they extended their right h*ands to him, he sliced the middle of their palm with the dagger. Blood oozed out of them. Lia stifled a scream and clenched her teeth. The Shaman looked at her. “Please give both your h*ands.” She tampered her nervousness down and gave him both her h*ands. She braced herself for the sharp pain and closed her eyes, but when warm blood trickled down her h*ands with no pain, she was startled.

The Shaman took both her h*ands and joined them with that of her mates, tying them at the wrist with a red ribbon. He picked up their h*ands and raised them once again in front of the statue. He recited ancient incantations. Gusts of cool winds circled them. The ribbons snapped open. After a few more incantations, the Shaman left his h*and and Lia saw that their palms were completely healed. She looked up with surprise at her mates but they appeared to be entranced as they looked at the statue of the Moon Goddess.

When the Shaman stopped chanting, he released their h*ands. He turned to them and said, “You are now married by the laws of the Dark Moon pack and the Moon Goddess has bestowed her blessings on you.” He looked at Arthur and Hawk. “You may k*iss the bride.”

Arthur turned Lia towards him. She saw that his h*ands were shaking a little when he lifted her veil. “We are married,” she whispered.

“Yes, baby girl,” he said and k*issed her passionately.

She turned towards Hawk. He cupped her cheeks and tipped her face up. “Do you know for how long I have been dreaming of this?”

“No…”

He crashed his l*ips on hers and k*issed her h*ard. When he pulled away, he said, “Ever since the day I saw you first at school.” A warm smile came on her l*ips.

“Come, we have to go out,” Arthur said, holding her h*and. Hawk took her other h*and and the three mates walked out of the temple.

The family immediately jumped and cheered and clapped, congratulating them and each other. First, they went to Hunter and River. River hugged Lia. “Welcome to the family, sweetheart.”

“Thank you, mom.” Lia’s heart was filled with love. Hunter came to hug her as well.

Arthur and Hawk went to Shawn and Lena to take their blessings. “Now you both can officially come over to my house anytime!” Shawn announced and the whole family laughed.

Together, they all came out with Lia holding h*ands of Arthur and Hawk. When the three raised it for all the pack members to see, there were loud cheers. A wave of joy and excitement passed through the pack. Flowers were showered over them as they walked in between the crowd all the way to the carthat was waiting for them outside. Arthur asked the driver to get out and he drove Lia and Hawk to the castle.

The castle grounds were lit with so many lights that it looked like the stars had dropped to the ground. They walked to the garden where a dinner was hosted for the whole pack. Music played in the background. The crowd was going berserk. They demanded that Lia go for the first dance. Since her mates wouldn’t allow her to dance with anyone else, they both danced with her, one standing in front of her and the other behind her. Whenever someone would come to dance with her, they would growl and ward him off. But they couldn’t say anything to Shawn and Hunter.

The function lasted until the wee hours of the morning and about 4 AM, they finally went back to their room, despite having several guests still out there. Lia’s feet hurt badly and even before she could complain, Arthur lifted her in his arms bridal style and carried her back to the room. Hawk followed them with her sandals in his h*ands. Arthur helped her remove her gown and only when she was stripped down to her p*anties that she slipped inside the comforter. Arthur and Hawk joined her soon after. On their wedding night, the boys were left hanging as their wife immediately fell off to sleep, snoring softly.

Arthur chuckled. He pressed a k*iss to her forehead and went off to sleep with his face buried in her back while Hawk pulled her closer to his c*hest and drifted off to sleep with a satisfied smile. She was theirs. Forever.
