Offered to the Lycan King by Misha K
Chapter 211
For the first time in many days, Lia had attended a party. Back in the Dark Moon pack she had to go to many parties whenever she was there because River used to take her saying that it was mandatory for her to attend all the parties being the future Luna of the pack. But in the human world, she was keeping her distance from everyone. This was one of the rare chances she was invited.
The soccer captain, Liam O’Conner, took them to the rest of the team who was sitting inside the main hall and introduced them. While Arthur and Hawk settled on a couch with Liam, Lia sat next to one of the girls who looked extremely confident. She leaned over to Lia and whispered, “That boy there,” she pointed at Liam, “is my boyfriend. And I am Cherry.”
“I see,” Lia gave her a polite smile, knowing that Cherry was marking her territory.
Cherry smirked and relaxed back on the couch, her eyes going to Arthur and Hawk. Lia didn’t miss the pale blush she had on her cheeks. She laughed on the inside.

Liam went on to speak about why they needed Arthur and Hawk in the team as Lia focused on their conversation. A server came to serve wine and veggies with hummus. When he came near Lia, he said, “Someone sent this letter for you.” He picked up the card and gave it to her with a smile and then hastily retreated. Surprised, she looked at him leaving the room with the folded letter in her h*and. Her gaze went to Arthur and Hawk who were still looking at Liam and pretty much engrossed in the conversation.
Liam was explaining how badly they needed one or two victories for the professional teams to come and pick up their boys. After five consecutive defeats, people were being wary of picking up the players for their professional teams.
Finding it extremely odd, Lia debated whether to open the letter or not, but curiosity k*illed the cat. She opened the letter quietly and blood drained from her face. She re-read the words written on it.
“Hi Lia, can we meet? I am standing outside near the pool. If you won’t come, I will tell everyone that Arthur and Hawk are your husbands and they are werewolves. Maggie.”
Lia crushed the letter in her h*and. Was this a blackmail or a hoax? She whipped her head around to see the server but he wasn’t there. If she met Maggie, she was sure that Arthur and Hawk would be very angry. However, if she didn’t meet her, she didn’t know if she would create drama. She peeked on the side through the glass wall. The swimming pool was brimming with activity. There were boys and girls lounging on the chaise-chairs, some groups were having intense conversations while some were swimming and playing games. This meant that if she went to see Maggie over there, she was safe. She glanced at her mates. Both of them were engrossed in the conversation. She turned to Cherry. “Umm… can you tell me where the bathroom is?” She didn’t want to meet Maggie, but if she didn’t, this was the worst place for her secret to come out.
“It is down the foyer, on the left,” Cherry said dryly.
When Lia got up, Hawk gave her a questioning look. She blinked her eyes to assure him that she was fine and going to the bathroom. ‘Be right back’, she m*outhed and hurried from there.
Loud, blaring music played in the swimming area. People were playing water polo while others watched them with excitement. Lia scanned the crowd to see where Maggie was. She walked till the other end of the pool and saw that she was nowhere. Panic button pushed, she swallowed saliva down the t*hroat. If Maggie was here, then why wasn’t she showing herself. Lia contemplated on going to the garden that was a few steps below on the right, but she shoved the idea. She went to the changing area but everything seemed as usual.
The fact that she got the letter from Maggie was making her restless. How did Maggie find her and that too over here? Was she keeping an eye on her all this time? But how was that possible? The last she heard Maggie was in an institution.
A loud cheering sound broke her reverie. She closed her eyes and was about to leave when all of a sudden, someone grabbed her wrist and pulled her to the side, away from the crowd. A strong force pinned her to the wall and placed a h*and on her m*outh.
Shocked as hell, Lia’s eyes went wide when she saw herself staring in Garry’s face.
“Shhh… sweetie pie,” he said softly. “It took me so long to find you.” He leaned over and k*issed her cheek. “You owe me, you know.”
Her wrist grabbed his h*ands as dread blasted in her c*hest.
He chuckled. “You look so frightened. Don’t be.” He wedged his t*high between her l*egs to further pin her down. “You see, after Natalie, I didn’t have anyone other than you. And you chose to run away. Who will look after my needs? Huh?”
She mumbled something beneath his h*and, shuddering under his t*ouch, his vicinity. Tears came to her eyes. She hated him so much that anger and fear warred i*nside her.
“Why did you run away, hmm?” he said and then l*icked the side of her face. “God, you taste like honey. Both you and Maggie are going to have so much fun together.” His h*and went to her n*eck and he wrapped his f*ingers around it. “I have come to take you back sweetie pie. Won’t you come back to daddy?” He lowered his f*ingers and cupped her b*reast. However, sharp pain emanated from his wrist immediately and he hissed as he removed it from her face. He stumbled back with surprise as pain jolted in his h*and.
Next, Lia pushed him back, before he knew what she was doing, he met with a punch below his windpipe. Air whooshed out of him as his eyes went wide when he fell on the floor with blood spraying from his m*outh. “Garry!” Maggie’s panicky voice came from the side. She emerged from her hiding place and lunged at Lia with her claws. But Lia was fast. She had been trained in martial arts from past two years. She dodged Maggie. Maggie stumbled forward. She turned with a wild look in her eyes only to meet with a heavy force of Lia’s l*eg. The next moment she was on the ground, next to Garry.
“You thought that you could take me so easily?” Lia growled. “I am going to make sure that you rot in jail for all your life!” She took her phone out and was about to call Arthur, when Maggie lunged at her and her phone slipped away. Maggie s*traddled her and punched her but Lia stopped her h*and midair, surprised that she was so weak now. Lia lifted her l*egs, circled them around her n*eck and with all her force, pulled her to the ground. She got up and punched her h*ard on the face. Maggie shrieked.
The cheering from the crowd stopped. If she stayed here, Lia was sure that it would become a great issue. It was possible that Maggie would reveal about her relationship with her mates. She turned and just rushed back to Arthur and Hawk. But she didn’t go to them directly. She went to the bathroom and called Hawk.
“F*uck!” Hawk rasped when he saw her. She had bruises on her cheeks, her hair was disheveled and her dress was torn a little on the side. “Who did this to you?” he growled menacingly as he opened his shirt and made her wear it. Lia was trembling. She closed her eyes and leaned over the counter. The door opened and Arthur walked in. “Who did this to you?” he said, clenching his fists. “I am going to k*ill every boy out here!” His eyes flickered golden. “No, wait,” Lia said in a hoarse voice. “Can we just leave?” She wanted to go quietly before it all became a big issue.
On their way back home, she told her about Garry and Maggie. “They are together in it.”
“You should have told us about them!” Hawk snapped.
“Maggie threatened me that she would reveal about my relationship with both of you,” Lia reasoned. “She also said that she would reveal that you both are werewolves.”
Hawk slapped the door beside him. “F*uck, that b*itch!”
“We have to take action sooner than them,” Arthur said in a cold voice. “I want our warriors to come here and guard the house at all times.”
Hawk dialed Hunter’s number immediately and conveyed the message. He grasped Lia’s h*and and pulled her in his lap. Leaning against her, he held her t*ightly. “I am so sorry that this happened to you, Lia.”
“We have to find Garry before he finds us,” Arthur said in a chilling voice. “Once I find him, I will-” A muscle in his jaw feathered. “And when I get my h*ands on Maggie—”
When they reached home, Hawk picked up Lia in his arms and carried her upstairs. She took a bath, scrubbing her skin raw to remove Garry’s filth from her. She sobbed and sobbed under the shower. Arthur came in and picked her up. He dried her and set her on the mattress. Hawk came to sit by her side.
“Lia, please don’t cry.”
“I hate him!” she cried. “When you catch him, you will bring him to me. Alive. Promise that.”
He stroked her hair gently. “You dealt with him so nicely, baby girl. I am very proud of you” He took her h*and in his and said, “I promise that if I find him, I will get him to you.”
Hawk pushed her softly on the mattress. “Sleep, baby girl,” he said, lying down beside her.
