Offered to the Lycan King by Misha K Chapter 230

Offered to the Lycan King by Misha K

Chapter 230

For Keya, being in his vicinity was like a drug that soothed her frayed nerves. If she didn’t get away from him sooner, she was sure that she would be accused of favoritism. She sighed and clutched his shirt with her f*ingers. After what seemed like a few seconds, he said, “We are reaching the main temple and I am sure that there will be some people waiting for us. I would love them to see us like this.”

She gasped. “So soon?” she said, l*ips down turning.

He raised an eyebrow. “We’ve been traveling for half an hour, princess.”

“Oh!” a blush dusted her cheeks. She l*icked her l*ips. “Okay, I think I should get down.”

“No,” he replied mysteriously. He picked her up and made her turn to the other side. “I think this is better?’ he said. He settled her between his t*highs and curled his arms around her, holding the reins in front of her.

Now Keya became aware of the fact that she was seated in the middle of his t*highs. Soon, something poked her in her back. He t*ightened his hold on her waist, pulling her back. He leaned over and breathed, “You did that to me. Can you take care of it?”

His breath along with his dirty talk made her n*ipples t*ighten to the level that they poked out of her bra. She wanted to clench her t*highs badly. To make it worse, he grounded himself on her back. It was so hot that she felt like a brand on her skin.

When they reached outside the temple gates, she saw that all other Alphas were there along with five warriors. “She’s safe!” one of the Alphas shouted. He jumped down from his horse and rushed to them. It was Alpha Jorr. Before he could help her to get down, Ranger dismounted the horse and pulled her down on his side. Jorr jerked his head in surprise at his action but he pursed his l*ips in a t*ight smile. Keya noticed that Ethan was standing with the crowd, watching them with suspicion. Why didn’t he come to save her?

“I am fine,” he said to all of them as she walked to the temple gate. Along with the rest of them, she entered the premises of the temple. The Shaman was already waiting for them. Soon they all went inside the main sanctum, offered their prayers and when they came out, they were one horse less. A warrior offered to give his horse to her, but she refused, scared as hell. Instead, she walked to Ranger and asked, “Can I go back with you?” He smirked as he nodded.

She climbed the mount and when a guard came to help her, Ranger outdid him by giving his h*and to her. She took his h*and with a suppressed smile and mounted the black stallion with his help. “Hold the reins,” he said. She held the reins and in one swing, Ranger was on the horse, behind her. He gave a c*ocky look to other Alphas as he nudged the horse to move with his l*eg. After that, he wrapped his arms around her, a little low towards her h*ips and took the reins from her. He pulled her closer to him on the saddle, ignoring her gasp.

As they walked back to the streets of the pack, he said, “What if I k*iss you?”

“What if I slap you?”

“What if I k*iss your h*and after that?”

“If you do that-” she snapped her head sharply at him and glared. “I am going to get down and go with Alpha Jorr!”

He raised an eyebrow as his c*hest vibrated with a menacing rumble. “Then I will have to k*ill Alpha Jorr.”

“Why do you have to k*ill everyone I am with?” She elbowed him.

“It’s your fault,” he replied.

“How is it my fault?” she asked, surprised.

“Because you keep saying that you will be with other men all the time.”

“So? You are not the only man I am supposed to be with!” she countered.

“Yes, I am,” he snapped. “And this is the time to ask for my second favor.”

“Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!”

Disregarding her whoas, he said, “You have to stop t*ouching other men who are not your blood relation. Though I might not like your proximity with your uncles and cousins also.”

“Are you insane?” she said, disbelief frothing in her c*hest. “I can’t grant you that favor. How ridiculous is that?” He didn’t reply to her, clenching his jaws. She became quiet but felt uncomfortable with the silence between them. “So if I don’t grant you that favor, will you stop talking to me?”

“I can’t do that,” he replied as he pulled the reins of the horse a little t*ighter making him canter. Others behind him also did the same to stay with them.

Amongst all the cheering and speculation and heartbreaks, they reached the venue for lunch. It was the dining hall of the castle. There were courtiers, their wives, daughters and sons who all wanted to click selfies with the Alphas and the princess. Lachlan came to her with a glass of wine. She took it and huffed as she walked with him to her parents.

“Goddess!” her mother crushed her in a t*ight hug. “That was pretty scary! How did you manage to run so fast?” Grisham burst out laughing. “It seems she is practicing while working.”

She smacked his c*hest. “That horse was nuts!”

Lachlan laughed along with his brother. When their mother shot them a glare, they stopped. Lia left to be with Arthur and Hawk who were standing with a group of courtiers. “By the way, where’s your knight in shining armor?”

Lachlan asked.

A warm feeling rushed in her c*hest when Keya pointed at Alpha Ranger, but the next moment her stomach dropped. There was a group of girls with him who was ogling at him sleazily. A brunette offered him a glass of wine while another offered him cheese and gr*apes. Yet another placed a h*and on his shoulder. A gnarled vine of jealousy twined around her heart. The vibrant tapestry of her mind turned into an instant charred landscape. The girls talked to him, fluttering their eyelashes, making animated movements with their h*ands and even blushing. While the same was happening with the rest of the Alphas and Ethan, she didn’t notice them or had an interest in them.

“It seems he is quite a hit with the females of our pack!” Lachlan commented, sipping his wine. “That’s cheating,” she hissed. “They can’t woo another girl when they are here for me.”

Grisham raised his eyebrow. “How can you say they are wooing? You have to understand that they are Alphas and they will have girls around them at all times.”

She gritted her teeth and snapped her head to look at him. “Why, even you are going to be the future Alpha? No one is coming around you!”

Grisham smiled and bopped her nose. “That’s because I am very clear about who would be my Luna.” He turned to look at his younger brother. “However that doesn’t go for Lachlan.” As if he knew what was about to happen, a horde of girls came to Lachlan.

“Ah, my sweeties!” he said with his h*and on his heart and walked with them to the side.

Clenching her fist, Keya returned her gaze to Ranger. A blonde whom she recognized as one of her juniors in school had sprawled her h*and on his c*hest, probably saying how wide it was. Keya’s jealousy turned into a venomous serpent that injected its poison in her heart. The bastard was talking about her not t*ouching other men while he was being t*ouched by others, she-Lycans and she-wolves and was rather enjoying it.

The grip on her glass t*ightened. In anger, she gulped the wine down her t*hroat. When she looked at him again, their gazes locked. He smirked. Before she knew she started walking towards him. “Where are you going?” she heard Grisham.

“To set things!” she hissed. When she reached Ranger, his smile widened.

“And what do I owe for an honor of your presence near me, Princess Keya?” he said politely.

She looked at all the other girls who instantly straightened up. “What were you all talking about?” she asked, barely able to conceal the acerbic tone in her voice.

“Oh! We were just pointing out how handsome he is!” the brunette replied, fluttering her eyelashes again. “Princess Keya, if you are okay with it, can we take him to a party at the creek on the weekend?”

Keya wanted to k*ill the brunette now. “I am sorry but all the Alphas are booked for the weekend. And now if you will all leave us, I have something urgent to talk to him about,” she said in a sharp voice. The girls were surprised but they bowed to her and left reluctantly.

“You were having a lot of fun!” she addressed him, narrowing her eyes.

He rubbed his c*hest and sighed. “I was, but you ruined it now.”

Crossing her arms across her c*hest, she hissed, “Okay, I will grant you a favor but you have to do the same.” He c*ocked his head with a frown. “What favor? Can you remind me?”

Such a louche he was. “Of not t*ouching other men.”

“Ah!” he grinned. “I remember. So you are saying that if you won’t allow others to t*ouch you, I should do the same?”

“Amendment-I won’t t*ouch other men inappropriately.”

“Cool,” he shrugged. “I won’t t*ouch other females inappropriately.”

And just like that all her jealousy vanished. For the rest of the afternoon, her brothers took her to the other Alphas to talk and know about them and she remained true to her words.

During lunch, Ranger made sure that he sat next to Keya.

“I told you to get him disqualified!” Alpha Torben growled at his younger brother, Howie Torri. They were sitting in his home. It was the finest in their community.

Howie was pacing the room with his h*ands clasped in front of his c*hest. “He’s on it,” he muttered. “I don’t know why Keya isn’t rejecting him!”

Torben was sitting on the sofa, his massive b*ody covering it all. “You know that if Alpha Ranger came to know about the truth, he would take two minutes to attack our pack. I want to take you both out of this pack as soon as possible.”

“I know! I know!” Howie gritted. He came to sit opposite to his brother. “But you know I had plans. You had plans. The reason why we asked for a small piece of land in the Dark Moon pack was because we wanted to have a presence here. But you saw how beautiful this place is. Why not go ahead with the plan and try to take over this pack? I have already started provoking people from other communities. The Dark Moon pack is marred with violence and commotion everywhere. Why should we stop when we are this close to our goal?”
