Sharing Beatrice A Luna To Her Stepbrothers by Alexis Dee Book 3

Chapter 557 – Bring Back The Dead Ones (Helel)

Life has been turned upside down for me and the others. The weredragons vanished, taking with them many beloved mates, including Beatrice and my daughter. They just disappeared.

“We need to figure out what’s going on, and Huia is the only one who knows enough to help us with this mystery,” Reign said, seated on the ground with stones spread around and a black chalk in her hand.

“But how can we be sure we can trust her? Why would she ever assist us?” I asked, perched on a chair, keeping an eye on Akin, who had been pacing around restlessly the entire time.

“I don’t know. I just know that we need to find out where they went. I’m losing my mind thinking I’ve lost Colt forever,” Reign’s eyes welled up with tears.

It was exactly how we all felt: miserable and lost.

“I say we go for it,” Akin suddenly stopped pacing and sniffled.

“Huh? Are you sure?” I wasn’t too sure about Huia. I would do anything to bring my daughter and Beatrice back, but Huia… she was the one who helped Zane k*ill Maddox. I could never trust that conniving witch.

“We don’t have anything to lose anyway,” Akin muttered, breathing heavily as he sat down to create a circle.

The only person left to fill it was me. I stared at them for a moment before getting off the chair and sitting down.

“How do we make contact with her?” I asked Reign, who handed each of us a chalk.

Akin held the white chalk, Reign had the black chalk, and I gripped the red chalk.

“We will each draw a circle and meet the others halfway until it’s complete,” she said, pointing the tip of the chalk to the ground.

I took a deep breath and started drawing, while Akin did the same. Soon, we had formed a circle, and Reign began chanting something while tossing stones into the circle.

I was worried about what to expect from Huia. There was a high chance that she would flat out refuse to help us.

And then what?

The circle darkened until it seemed like a void. Reign started calling for her, getting closer with each call.

“Huia!”

I clenched my jaw, her name reminding me of Maddox. What happened to him was unfair. They took him away from us. The most innocent among us had a torturous end to his life at the hands of none other than his own brother.

“Huia!”

She called out again, and this time, we heard a little cackle that sent goosebumps up my skin.

“It’s about time somebody called me,” she uttered, her voice a reminder of Maddox’s suffering.

I closed my eyes, gasping for air, preparing to put on an act. An act where I would listen to her without wanting to shut her face.

“How are you?” I could tell Reign was trying to be nice.

“Huh! What is it that you want so badly that you’re acting nicely with me?” Just as expected, she began to snicker.

“Something happened here,” Reign moved closer, clearing her throat before drawing her attention toward the circle.

“Something terrible. The vortex opened again, and it… s*ucked away the weredragons,” I know it wasn’t easy for Reign to describe what happened.

“Ohhh! So, that happened,” the way Huia sighed made us exchange glances. It was almost as if she knew what had happened.

“So, you know what that means?” Reign bit her t*ongue after asking that question, as worried as the two of us about what Huia might do next.

“I do. It’s not hard to know,” she snickered, taunting Reign for not figuring it out sooner.

“How do you know?” Without asking her directly, Reign began to explore her mind.

“Because I was the one who created it,” her words shook the world beneath my feet.

“You created this curse?” I spoke, and Huia went silent for a while before she giggled.

“Ahh, my handsome nephew. You know, I always thought you were special from the moment I laid my eyes upon you,” she commented, and I could literally imagine her smirk.

“You said you created it. Why would you create that curse?” Now I was worried, because if she’s behind all of that, I don’t know who would help us now.

“Oh! It ain’t a curse. It’s most certainly not,” she grunted a little. “And I created it before your parents betrayed me. I had a feeling something was going to happen. But then I was trapped, so I created it,” she mumbled, making me frown because I couldn’t understand her. It was like she was just going in circles.

“So, you created it when you were in that cave?” Reign asked. I noticed Akin grunting with his head down. I feared he would lose his temper again.

“No! I planned it. But I am not the one behind it; somebody else initiated it this time. So, I am believing I am innocent this time,” she uttered, and we all shared another glance.

“But why? And how do we find out who did that?” Akin finally spoke up.

“Ah, Akin!” she sighed. “My poor little boy, it is not a curse. It’s remodeling. I created it years ago because I thought some people didn’t get the chance to live a better life because of the power the others got. The omegas and many sad people, who looked like they were happily obeying their alphas, but deep down inside, they thought it was unfair that they were born with such weak wolves,” she continued.

“So, I thought about a place where there is no power, and everyone is almost the same physically until they learn to make themselves stronger. However, I never got to do it because I thought I had it all when Zane came to my side,” the little sigh from her when mentioning that evil brother of mine made me frown but kept my emotions to myself.

“So, where is everyone? Where is this place?” Reign asked in a trembling voice.

“A real world,” she answered. “A world without magic and a world that is…” she paused before she added, “the true earth.”
