The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame

Chapter 132 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)

I walk faster when I saw Caleb walking alone in the hallway, I took his hand and pulled him over a dark room. I quickly cover his mouth, “Shh, it’s me, Harper.”

He quickly calm down, “You startled me.”

“I’m sorry, anyway, any news after I left?” He nodded his head.

“Yes, a lot. the wedding will be still tomorrow.” I nodded my head, the potion didn’t work then. “Anything else?”

“There’s more, I know who told Keriza that you’re Harper.” That caught my attention. “Whom?” I asked seriously. “It’s Nova, you knew her right?” Nova, how did she know?

“She & her sister was forced to tell so, Keriza made a deal with them. If they will tell, they will receive peace and money.” I let out a sigh, the power of money. I nodded, “I see, what else?” he shook his head.

“That’s all I get, for now. I’ll tell you if there’s new.” I tapped his shoulder, “Good job. How about the wedding, Caleb?” his brow slightly furrowed.

“What about that?” he asked confused.

“Is there anything suspicious? Does her mother show up already?” I asked him. He shook his head, “Nothing suspicious and no, her mother didn’t showed up yet.” I nodded once again. “Okay, go back now Caleb. Maybe they were looking for you.”

“Okay,” he replied but before he leave, he gave me a look from head to toe.

“Did someone already told you look good in armor?” He said playfully. I jokingly punch his shoulder, “There’s no time for that, Caleb. Go ahead now, stop playing around.” He chuckled deeply, “Alright, I just couldn’t help it. I’ll get going now then, be careful this time.”

“You too, be careful.” He nodded and finally took his leave.

A few minutes after he went out, I went outside too. I walked towards the warrior, the chief commander commanded us, the woman warriors to help the wedding planner in preparing the venue.

My-brow slightly furrowed when I saw Keriza and him in the venue. Keriza was smiling widely, while him, he was nodding his head. I couldn’t help but to look down. It pains me to see them happy like that. Only if he remember me and our memories together.

I look away and started to walk in other direction. Should I just give him up now? I can see that he’s happy without me in his life, without our memories together. I can go close to him now, Keriza always stay beside him. And I think, someone knew my existence here now. Probably, Keriza’s mother.

I’m a grown woman now, I experience a lot of things but that’s not still enough. I still can’t do anything to stop this s*hit. I smile, a smile full of disappointment with myself. How funny this is, I’m a tribrid, a tribrid can’t make him remember.

“How hard my life is…” I murmured while still walking away.

“You, where are you going?” one of the warriors asked me. I slightly look up, “I need to go in the comfort room, I’ll be back later.” All she can do is to nod her head.

“Alright, faster.” I nodded my head as well and leave. Instead of going in the comfort room, I walk towards Amanda’s room. I made sure no one noticed me.

“What are you doing here?” I heard Amanda freaked out when she saw me. She’s probably thinks that I got lost in their room.

I remove my helmet and sigh, “It’s me, Harper.” Her eyes widened and quickly stood up. She hug me tightly, “You came back.” I nodded my head and let out a sigh. “Yeah, I always came back to where I’m really belong to. But now, I’m confuse if I still belong here.” I really don’t know, seeing them together like that cut my heart into million pieces.

She looks at me and then pulled me closer to her again, “Of course, you still belong here. Harper.” I couldn’t help but to feel very emotional right now. “We might don’t like what is happening right now, I know everything will be alright soon,” I really hope so. I hugged her back, “What will happen to me if he will never going to remember anymore?” She tapped my back.

“He will,” I bite my lower lips, “we both know that there’s a possibility he can’t and if he will, when? when the two of them already married and have children?” The thought of them having children hurt me. That’s not a good idea, I can’t let her be with him, she doesn’t deserve him.

“That will never going to happen, well, I’m not sure though.” I know, I know even I, I’m not sure. I let go of the hug and look at her, “1 have a favor to ask.” She nodded, “Yes, what it is?” I took a letter inside my pocket. “Can you give this to him tonight? If he read this and still continue the wedding tomorrow, I’ll leave. I can’t stay any longer here, I know Keriza’s mother knew about my existence here. If I’ll stay, my life will be in danger.”

She nod and hug me again, “I want you to be happy, Harper. I wish you luck,” I smile. “I wish too. Alright, I need to go now. I’ll stay for now, and if ever I’ll leave tomorrow, I just want you to know, you’re a good friend Amanda. I wish the best for you and your happiness.” her eyes filled with tears and pulled me to embrace.

“Oh Harper, why you experience all of this. I feel pity for you,” I shook my head. “Don’t be, just like you said, everything will be alright.” She nodded her head and wipe the tears in her eyes.

“I have to go now,” she nodded her head. I nodded as well and teleported on the woods. I need fresh air to breath. I climb up a tree and when I’m at the top of it, I closed my eyes.

I really hope everything will be alright, I can’t hold the pain in my heart.

“Moon Goddess, please help me.”

Zachary Vance Spencer’s POV

Tomorrow, I will end this bulls*hit, I’m tired of faking my smile around her. She’s very clingy and annoying, only if I can hit her. I met her mother yesterday, she’s unexpectedly silent now. I’ve watching them since I regained my memories. They were the one who is controlling us. How vicious are they, they messed up with the wrong person.

They weren’t just the one who knows how to play, I planned to execute their whole family in the day of their known ‘Wedding’. But I won’t, killing is to easy. Living without anything is much harder as a punishment. I’ll let them stay alive, I don’t want to use violence anymore. I’m done with that.

“Are you really sure about this, king?” My beta, Lance asked me. I remain quiet, I know he wanted me to stop the wedding. I still didn’t tell them that I do remember, where is the thrill if I did right. And one more thing, if I tell, there’s a chance that it will spread like a wild fire. So better, I’ll keep that within myself, I can’t really trust anyone, except myself.

“Don’t question my decision, Lance. You better do whatever I told you to do so.” I replied instead of answering his question.

“Sorry king, but Keriza isn’t suitable to become the queen. Only if you remember what did they just do to you and Har-” I raised my hand. I know, I remembered what they did and it’s awful, wrong and unacceptable.

“I don’t know what you are talking about, I don’t remember her.” I saw him let out a sigh. I remember Lance, I remember how she treated everyone around her. How kind, beautiful and caring she is. Just a small span of time, everything will be alright. We will be happy again.

“Just trust me about this one, okay.” He stared at me, I stood up from the chair and tap his shoulder. “Trust me.” All he can do is to nod. You know better, Lance. You better know that I’m planning something very great.

I walk towards my room and enter, instead of going directly in my bed, I went to the balcony. I closed my eyes and feel the cold breeze touching my skin.

Where is she right now? Is she alright? I feel so bad for hurting her, only if I didn’t forget. Don’t worry love, wherever are you, I will find you.

I opened my eyes and turn my back. Tomorrow is a big day, I can’t wait. I glance on my, door when I heard a knock, maybe Keriza visited me this hour again. That’s how annoying she is. I slowly walk towards the door and opened it.

But instead of Keriza, I saw Amanda. Oh, do she need something or is she’s here to ask me quit the wedding?

“I won’t stay any longer, your majesty. I just need to give you this.” She gave me a letter. I just look, and gave her a confused look.

“What is that?” she smiled sadly.

“I don’t have any Idea, your majesty but if possible I wanted you to read it tonight.” I nod. “I’ll try, who give this?” She just shook her head, clearly she doesn’t want to answer.

“You will know later,” As she said that, she bowed her head and take her leave. I was left alone and confused. I stared on the letter, there’s no special with it. But who knows what’s written inside of it.

I closed the door and move towards my bed, I slowly open the envelope and read the letter. From the penmanship, I already know who wrote it. I bit my inner lip, it was from her.

“Dear love,

Our fate is in your hand now. I’ll give you the right to decide our destiny. If you really don’t remember us, I’ll accept that. If you will, then it’s my joy. It is hard for me to see you with someone new but I’ll accept it if that’s really what makes you happy. This is the only thing I can do for the both of us, but before you think that I gave up easily, you don’t know what I went through just to save us. Letting you go never been easy, but I wanted you to know, I love you, my king. You will be always my mate.

Sincerely Yours,

Harper

How bad I wanted to go and look for her but I know I can’t mess up the plan. Tomorrow love, let me end it tomorrow. The two of us will be happy like we wanted to.

I carefully put down the letter and cried silently. Don’t gave up on me yet love, wait for me.

“I love you too, my queen. The woman I only love for the rest of my life.”
