The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame

Chapter 150 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)

“Harper.”

I heard a faint voice behind me. I closed my eyes tightly, I don’t know what to do now. My heart was filled with different emotions. I was drowning in anger, confusion, and sadness.

I didn’t expect everything to end up like this. I know he’s angry but I never thought he could hurt… kill my mother.

1 clenched my hands tightly and took a deep breath. I am also angry about what is happening but I have never tried to destroy our relationship that we are trying to fix.

We made a lol of mistakes then, until now. But killing someone I love and cherish in anger is not just acceptable…

It is not.

“Love…” I heard him say again.

“Leave now!” I told him firmly without even looking at him. I heard him take a step forwards so I glared at him, sharply.

“Didn’t you hear me? Go away!” I shouted at him angrily. Tears keep on falling down my checks. I can no longer control the emotions I feel.

I can’t even explain it, but… I’m so angry. I don’t want to be angry with him but he’s too much.

He’s just too much.

I sob in tears, damn… I just lost my father because of his father before and now. Did he kill my mother? What else needs to happen for this chaos to stop and for our lives to be quiet?

Do I still have to die?

“Harper,” His voice was soft as if coaxing me. He seems to be in the right frame of mind now.

His face was gentle as if he was begging me to talk to him. No, not this time. Not now that I’m holding my mother’s dead body.

I calmed myself down and looked at him again. “You need to leave now,” I said weakly and hugged my mother.

He sighed in defeat and nodded in understanding. “I’m sorry,” That’s all he said, and started walking away.

I stayed in my mother’s arms until Lisa came with her mother. They were stunned by what they saw, I know that they knew what happened. They knew that my mother was gone.

“Harper,” I heard my cousin call my name softly. 1 just remained silent. Yes, she admitted that she was the reason why my husband’s sister and mother died. But I don’t believe what she said, there’s something wrong with it. I remember what happened before. Zach’s father made her leave because she doesn’t belong here. She was forced to abandon me, to abandon us. But I think that’s not enough reason for her to kill his daughter and wife. What really happened back then?

“You need to get up now, Alizah. You need to say goodbye to your mother before she’ll turn into ashes,” I heard my aunt say.

I immediately looked at her, what does she mean?

“Look at your mother. Her body is slowly turning to ashes. When a witch dies, she turns to ashes and is blown away by the wind.”

She is right, I can see a change in her body. This is too sudden, I only have a little time to see her for the last time.

“I don’t know what happened back then. I was confused and bothered to know you’re the reason why his mother and sister died. But, is that the truth?” I couldn’t help myself to ask.

In the little time, I spent with her since the day I forgave her, I learned many things from her. That no matter how much you hale a person, the day will come when you will be able to forgive him or her, especially if you had a deep and long relationship with that person.

I have fond memories of her as a child. She’s a lovely mother and a wife. Although she abandoned her first child who is my half-brother, I can’t deny the fact that she’s a good mother.

She loves my father and me very much. She just had no choice but to leave because of the wishes of the alpha king, Zach’s father.

If I were in her situation, I would also be in trouble. And maybe, I also can do something unexpected.

“I’m sorry. Mom,” I mumbled as her body started to fade in my hand. It’s hard, but I have to let her go. A tear filled with pain escaped from my eyes. “I love you, Mom. Farewell…”

Her body completely vanished in the air. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

“I have something to tell you,” I slowly looked up when I heard my aunt’s voice. I saw guilt in her eyes, “About what?” She sadly looked at me and guided me up.

“You should know something. I would have said it before but I couldn’t say it. Your mother doesn’t know it either,” I frowned slightly.

She let out a sigh first before talking, “Twenty-five years ago, a few months before you were born I noticed something. Your father and your mate’s father know each other right?” I nodded.

“They were once a friend. Before your father became the alpha, he became the alpha king’s beta. Because your father’s older brother died, he became the leader. I know all of this because I investigated them for your mother’s sake. She was my little sister back then,” I just looked at her, unable to say anything. My father became the royal beta before?

“My sister is a hybrid, a witch and vampire. I know she has a vampire mate, and that was the vampire king. They were mates but the king did not consider her a priority. He just claimed her because she was his mate but he married someone else. You know that stuff don’t you?” I nodded again.

“So that, I didn’t wonder why she sought for someone else love and she found it in your father. She loves your father very much,” she continued.

“I don’t see anything wrong with why she has to leave. She just loves, she’s not making any trouble. I know that they made you believe that you are a monster because you have witch, vampire, and werewolf blood. But you’re not. You’re just different and beautiful,” I smiled al what she said.

“This is what I noticed before. It seems like the former alpha king likes your mother,” I frowned.

What does she mean?

  1. I believe we have been fooled. The only way we can read the rest of the story is to go to a different website and pay to continue reading the whole story. Not happening.
