The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame
Chapter 154 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
“Then die.”
A terrible thunder and lightning woke me up. My eyes widened as I clutched my chest in shock.
I looked around. I’m still in the witch kingdom and… And I don’t know what happened.
What’s happening? I took a deep breath and got out of bed. It was dark all around, and it was raining outside.

I walked towards the window and opened it. The icy wind greeted me. I have a strange feeling. Is it all just a dream?
“Harper? What are you doing? You need to sleep now and have a rest.” I heard a faint voice coming inside my room.
“You can’t stress your baby,” I immediately looked inside. I saw Lisa standing while looking at me. She was holding a lamp in her hand. My brow furrowed in confusion. What is really happening? And my baby?
She approached me worriedly, “You shouldn’t get up. Go back to your bed,” she said and held my hand to help me to get back.
I grabbed her arm to stop her. She looked at me, confused. “What do you mean?” I asked her.
She frowned at what I said. “What? My mother told me that I should come here to see you. It would be best if you rested after what happened yesterday,” I was even more confused.
“What happened yesterday?” “You don’t know? You almost lost your child yesterday. It’s good because your child survives. He’s A fighter,” she answered. I blinked twice, and my child didn’t die. “I’m confused. What happened yesterday? Didn’t my child die?” I said again. She shook her head, “No, your child survived. You and Zach had a big fight yesterday. And then you felt pain. You started to scream and begged us to save your child. After that, you lost consciousness,” she replied.
“So, my child still alive?”
She nodded repeatedly. My eyes widened as I looked at my stomach. I slowly caressed my womb. My child is still here.
Then…
This is all just a dream.
“Tell me. My mother is still alive, isn’t she?” And here, when she lowers her gaze. I nodded. She’s gone.
“That’s why you need to rest. My mom said, your pregnancy is very risky. So please, Harper, if possible, don’t stress yourself too much. About Zachary—” I cut her off. “Let’s not talk about him now. Maybe tomorrow,” she nodded. “Okay then. Tomorrow,” I nodded as well.
“My mother will talk to you tomorrow too. Have a rest,” she smiled at me before leaving.
I couldn’t believe what I found out. I thought our child was gone. It’s all just a dream. I sighed in relief and t*ouched my tummy again.
I closed my eyes and smiled slightly. I am happy that our child is still alive. But I’m sad and worried about what could happen. If that dream of mine is true, I can’t handle it.
I let myself fall asleep again. I woke up the following day because of the sun’s rays hitting my face. I yawned and held my stomach. A big smile appeared on my l*ips. “Hold on, my child. We will overcome these challenges,” I whispered.
I got up from the bed and went out of my room. In the hallway, I saw some maids. They greeted me with a big smile on their l*ips.
“May I know where my cousin and aunty are?” I asked them.
“Your Grace. Your aunty and cousin are in the garden. You can visit them now if you wish,” they politely replied.
I nodded and thanked, “Thank you.” “Nothing, your grace,” I smiled and continued walking. I found them both in the garden planting. Aunty loves to plant, too, like my late mother.
Lisa was the first one to notice me, “You’re here now. Come on, join us,” she said cheerfully to me.
Aunty also looked at me and smiled, “How are you? Is there any pain?” she asked gently. I shook my head. I felt no pain.
“Nothing. Thank you for saving my child,” I genuinely thanked her. She shook her head, “No worries. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you and your child. Anyway, come to us. I want to ask something,” I nodded and approached them. “Sit down. My daughter told me that you woke up last night and were confused. May I know why?” I sat up and sighed.
“I… I dreamed that our child died. I was devastated and sad. I thought everything was true in that dream. But that’s just a nightmare,” I answered honestly.
She nodded, “That’s sad. We’re glad then that your child… Your son is a fighter,” Son? Oh, how did she know that my child is a boy?
“Don’t be surprised, Harper. My mother saw your child’s future. Don’t worry. Your son is a tough man. You will never lose him,” Lisa told me.
Is that true? My Aunt nodded, “That’s right. But there’s no certainty. Your son’s fate is still up to you. If you fail to keep him, then I’m sorry, Harper, I can’t keep him alive, too,” I nodded in understanding.
I caressed my tummy. I understand, but I will do everything to keep him alive. Whoever tries to hurt him, I will fight until death. “One more thing, Harper,” I looked at her again. “Yes?” I asked.
“I don’t want to tell you about this, but you must know. Zachary didn’t leave yesterday,” my brow furrowed.
“I thought he left?” She nodded. “Yes, he left here inside the palace, but he stayed outside,” my l*ips parted.
“So, where is he now? It was raining last night,” I couldn’t help but worry. No matter how much I hate him, I still can’t bring myself not to worry.
“Show him to her, Lisa,” She told her daughter. Lisa nodded and signed me to follow her. Is this what she meant last night? She wanted to tell me about his condition, isn’t she?
We went to the balcony of my room. From our place, we could see the vast grounds. And there I saw him, kneeling under the sun. He was looking at the ground. And his clothes are still wet because of the rain last night.
Damn, what is he thinking?
