The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame
Chapter 156 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
“Harper, you need to come back now!” I heard my cousin’s voice in my mind. I can hear the panic in her voice. What’s going on?
My brother looked at me in curiosity. “Did something happen?” I nodded my head. “I don’t know. My cousin mind-linked me. Let’s go back and see what’s happening.”
He nodded his head, and we ran back to the room. Lisa met us halfway. Concern can be seen on her face.
“There’s a problem. When the two of you leave, my mother, Samantha and I leave too. After a few minutes, I heard a strange sound and returned to your room,” And so?

She bit her bottom l*ips as if she was thinking twice about whether to say it or not. “Liza, tell me. What’s going on?” I asked her seriously. She closed her eyes tightly.
“I don’t know what exactly happened, but your… your husband is gone,” What? What does she mean? What gone?
“I mean, he’s not here anymore,” she added. My brow furrowed even more. I immediately opened the door and entered. Liza was right. He’s gone. I looked around the whole place. Where did he go?
Did he leaves, or was he just around? “Look for him all over the palace. I’ll go and look for him, too,” After I said that, I teleported.
After a few hours of searching, he’s gone. But where did he go? He can’t leave without telling me. I took a deep breath and sighed. I bit my bottom l*ip to think. What is he up to?
I looked at the door when I heard someone knock on it. I saw Liza and Samantha. They were looking at me worriedly. “Come on, Harper. Lunch’s ready. It would be best if you ate,” Samantha said gently. I just stared at them. I don’t have the mood to eat.
They sighed and approached me. Samantha tapped my shoulder, “I know you’re confused about what’s happening, but you need to eat and get stronger. For yourself and child, Harper,” I took another deep breath. She was right.
I stood up and nodded, “Come on,” I said sparingly. They nodded, too and guided me towards the dining room. When I got there, I saw Aunt Louisa and my brother. I saw next to my brother and smiled a little. “I sent warriors to find him. Later today or tomorrow, we will know his whereabouts,” Aunt Louisa told me. I nodded my head, “Thank you, Aunty.”
“No worries. Okay, shall we start eating?” I was about to get food when the dining room door opened. A warrior rushed in. He was panting and almost passed out because of fatigue.
“Your majesty. I have something important and urgent to say.” He said in a panic. We all looked at him with serious expressions on our faces. Aunt Louisa stood up and walked towards him. “What is that?” The warrior caught his breath first before talking. “I’m afraid to say this but we are under attack,” he said, kneeling. Samantha and Lisa gasped while I, my brow furrowed. Under attack? “I came from the southern territory. The enemy defeated our warriors in that area. Only a few survive and manage to escape. I was one of them. I did my best to come here and report your majesty,” he said breathlessly.
I checked him up. He has many bruises, wounds, and scratches all over his body. His clothes were ruined and dirty.
“A surprise attack? May I know what our enemies are?” Aunt Louisa asked him seriously. The warrior bowed, “Pardon your majesty, but I can’t tell. There are many of them and I can’t tell if they were werewolves, witches or vampires.”
It is mixed, then. There’s only one person in my mind. And I know all of us were thinking the same. Kesha…
“I guess she won’t stop even though our sister is dead. Kesha, your heart is filled with hatred and revenge. No one can help you out now,” Aunt Louisa whispered. She nodded her head and took a deep breath. She’s making her decision now.
“Gather our warriors and prepare for the incoming war,” After she said that, she turned her back on us and left. I know she’s worried about the kingdom’s situation right now.
My brother stood up also. He looked at me. “We are going home now to inform the vampire king about this. Take care, my sister,” he said and came closer to k*iss my forehead. I nodded, “Please be safe.”
Samantha hugged me, too, “Don’t stress yourself too much. Your baby needs peace of mind,” she whispered. I nodded and hugged her back.
“I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you,” She let go of the hug and followed her husband. I watched them walk away until they vanished from my sight.
This is sudden again. Lisa approached me and sat next to me. “What’s happening in this world?” she murmured. I’m asking the same question every single day.
She sighed, “Who do you think is the one who’s behind all of this?” She asked me. I raised an eyebrow, “Who do you think?” I question instead of answering.
“If it’s Kesha, doesn’t she get tired? I mean, she’s doing too much. What is she proving? That she’s powerful?” I stared at her blankly. Sometimes, I don’t know if she’s thinking straight or just this dumb. I shook my head in disbelief.
“Believe me. I don’t know her reason either. You can go and ask a psychopath like her,” Lisa giggled at my answer.
“Just like what I thought. Kesha is hard to understand. She even let her daughter die because of her craziness,” she said and shrugged her shoulder.
I inhaled deeply and started eating my food. I don’t have the mood to eat, but my baby needs it.
“Anyway, Harper. I have something to tell you,” I looked up and signed her to continue.
“What”?”
“Or maybe not. Just eat,” she said and smiled. My brow met. Is she serious?
“Don’t look at me like that. You look like you wanted to murder me,” She joked. But I’m still glaring at her. I shrugged my shoulder and sighed.
