The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame
Chapter 160 (Harper Alizah Grace’s POV)
Kesha returned from her natural state. Shocked can be seen in her eyes. It seems like she can’t believe what she just heard. Zachary’s father’s body fell to the ground, weak.
“I agree to come with you, but you must keep your promises, Kesha. I know you know what I’m capable of,’’ I said thoughtfully, looking directly into her eyes.
She grinned and nodded when she returned to her senses, “I know, and you can count on me,” she signed me to come closer, so I did.
“Harper, don’t!”

“Think again; you can go with her!”
“Harper, please!”
I shook my head and started to walk closer to her. I’m thinking about what I should do if I am doing the right thing. This is the only way I know I can ensure their safety and mine.
“Think carefully, Harper. This is not the right thing to do!” They tried to change my mind. In my last step, I looked back, “I’m sorry.”
I looked away quickly. I don’t want to see their disappointed face. “I wanted that before we leave; let him be what he is now,” she clapped two times and smirked.
“Sure, that’s just easy,” she replied. Kesha moved closer to Zachary and cast a powerful spell. After a few minutes, she walked back in my direction. And that’s when I saw Zach loses consciousness. “Say no words, or else I’ll bring the curse back,” she warned. I closed my l*ips tight. I can’t even say goodbye to him. Anyway, I don’t even know what I should say.
“But I let you see him begging. I’ll temporarily seal your voice,” I nodded again. Zachary slowly regains consciousness. He quickly looked in my direction. He was on the verge of crying.
“Harper…” he called my name. I just stared at him. I can’t bear to see him like this.
“You don’t have to do this,” he whispered just enough for me to hear.
“You don’t need to sacrifice,” he continued and tried to approach me, but Kesha stopped him.
“You need to change your mind. I know we can still do something to defeat heif he begged. We can’t stop her anymore. She planned this for almost twenty years. And besides, I just learned to know that she’s a necromancer. She possesses so much dark power.
She managed to control you, the Alpha king, and she can control the others too. She can handle my brother, even the vampire king, our aunt Louisa. It will be so hard for me. I don’t want to hurt those who love and care for me.
And I can’t bare her to hurt my child.
“Harper, please talk to me,” I just shook my head. He slowly kneeled and looked at me, begging. Troy quickly makes him stand, but he refuses.
“That’s useless, Zachary. She already made up her mind; no one can change it,” Troy seriously said. “We know her. I know she’s planning something; all we can do now is trust her? Lisa agreed. To all of them, Lisa was the one who trusted me the most.
“They’re talking nonsense. We should go now, Harper? Kesha said impatiently. She was about to pull
me away, but I stopped her, “Hold on,” I mind-linked her. She looked at me, “Just a minute,” she nodded.
I closed my eyes tightly and sighed, “I’m sorry, Zach. I have no better choice. But I choose you and our child. I promise that I’ll keep myself safe. But I can’t promise you that I don’t know if we will see each other again,” I stopped talking and looked him in the eye.
I saw how shocked he was. I smiled sadly, “But I wanted you to know how much I love you. That won’t change; I will love you forever? I continued. Tears rolled down his cheeks, and he slowly nodded. “I promise I will find you. I will save you even if I will cost my life. I love you, always. Forgive me because I can’t do anything now.” I nodded. I know that he will save me.
“I will wait for you.” After I said that, I looked away. “Let’s go,” I said to Kesha. She nodded and held my hand. They slowly vanished in sight. When I opened my eyes, I discovered I’m in different places now. Many warriors are roaming around the area. When they saw us, they all bowed and kneeled. “Your Majesty!” They pay her respect. She created her own kingdom. While looking at them intently, I noticed that they were mixed. Vampires, werewolves, and witches.
“Let’s go inside. I will tell you what will happen,” I only nodded. She still did not give my voice back. When she noticed my silence, she looked at me.
“Oh, so bad of me.” She gave me my voice back. “I noticed you still don’t show your true power yet,” My brow furrowed. She’s talking to me as if we were friends.
“Don’t worry. I’ll keep my promise even if you don’t believe me. You’re safe here under my command,” I’m not saying anything. And I’m not worried about that.
“I don’t need to show what I’m capable of. And I’m telling you, I’m not as strong as you think,” I said seriously.
“Oh, really? If you say so. If you choose to look weak in their eyes, they will belittle and abuse you,” I don’t know what she’s saying. I’m just stating that I’m weak even if I’m a tribrid.
We halted when we reached a particular door; I looked at her. She signed me to enter, “Get inside.” I nodded. As I got in, I noticed something strange. I feel like someone’s watching me. My brow furrowed as I walked even further.
But I quickly stopped when I saw something sharp flying in my direction. I quickly looked at the wall on my back, and there was a dagger. My eyes widened slightly in shock.
Damn, what was that for? I heard Kesha clapped her hand as she approached me. “This is great,” she commented.
From behind, a man says, “I’m impressed.” My brow furrowed in confusion. Who is he?
“I know you don’t know me yet, but I’m Virgo— Kesha’s brother.” Kesha’s brother? What the hell is going on?
“He’s my biological brother? Kesha said, making me look at her.
“I know this may shock you, and I’m right,” who would not be shocked? I rolled my eyes and collected myself.
“Now that we see some of your abilities. We would love to see your power, too,” My brow furrowed even more.
“I heard you can control the four elements. Is that true?” I shut my mouth close and only nodded. “Great. If that is so, can you show it now?” I sighed and nodded again. I know this place was surrounded by a barrier that was protecting them. So, even if I wanted to hurt them, I couldn’t do that. And it would be perilous if I did that since I was inside their territory.
“Show us your fire manipulation,” I followed what Virgo said. The smirk on their l*ips widened as he signed me to continue, “How about your water and air power?” I sighed and obeyed.
After a few minutes of using my power, I can see how satisfied they are. “Now, we would love to see you in your vampire form. Shift,” he commanded. Are they making fun of me?
“Don’t look at me like that. I’m only observing you,” Virgo immediately defended himself when he saw my expression. Okay fine. I let Venice take over my body.
“They’re pretty annoying,” she commented. I agreed. It’s been a long time since I heard Venice’s voice. “How about in your werewolf form?” Kesha asked me. I looked at her. Seriously? I don’t have any clothes, but she wanted me to shift.
“I need some clothes to cover my body after I shift back into my human form,” I stated. She nodded, “That won’t be a problem.” She vanished before me, but when she returned, she was holding some underwear and a pair of clothes.
“Reenah, are you there?” I called my wolf’s name. “Hmm, yes.” She hummed. Great, “Take over? I commanded. I was in my wolf’s form in just a few seconds. Their jaw dropped in amazement. Virgo approached me, “Beautiful,” he murmured. He was about to caress my fur, but I growled, so he stepped back. I don’t want them t*ouching me.
“All right,” he said as he raised his hands. “That’s all I wanted to see. Now, let me tell you that…” that what? Virgo looked at Kesha, and she nodded.
“Before you will go to your room, I wanted to tell you what will happen,” I nodded and signed her to continue.
“Seven days from now, the Lunar ecl*ipse will occur;’ and so? “At that moment, we will do the process.” I’m confused; what process?
“I will die but will live,” what does she mean?
“I will live inside your body and be able to control you the way you can control yourself,” she continued. What the hell? Is she serious about that?
“Don’t worry; you can still control yourself, but not the way before. And as promised, I can ensure your son’s safety,” I shook my head. “That’s impossible,” she shook her head and grinned. “No, you can’t say no. The moment you go with me, you already agree. Don’t tell me you will break your word?” I closed my l*ip tightly. Damn her, I cursed her in my mind.
“Okay,” she smirked wider. “All right. Before you go, I wanted to tell you something. You might know about this, but I will say’’ What about now?
“You might be wondering now why it’s you whom I needed. Not the king or queens of the three kingdoms,” I only stared at her. “It is because you’re a tribrid. And do you know what does that mean?”
“You’re special, harper. You’re the only one who let the moon goddess live as a tribrid.” There’s nothing special about me. She’s overthinking.
“Since you are the only tribrid in this world, that makes you the most powerful creature. You’re the only one who can control all the werewolves, witches, wizards, and vampires.”
“You can control them by looking in their eyes; that’s powerful you are,” she continued. That makes sense, I’ve been doing that for decades, but this is the first time I learned about that. All I know. Anyone can do that.
