The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame Chapter 161

The Alpha King’s Mistake by BlackFlame

Chapter 161 (Third Person POV)

One day before the ecl*ipse occurred, harper stood on the terrace while looking at the vast field before her. The trees and plants may look lifeless, but it is still pleasant to the eye. She dramatically let out a sigh and closed her eyes. And she then looked at the sky. It’s cold and dark; she feels like it will rain.

Tomorrow evening, the Lunar Ecl*ipse will be done. At that moment, Kesha can control her body or not. Now, she was hoping someone would save her from this darkness.

“Are you ready?” Harper turned around. She saw Kesha leaning on the wall while looking at her intently. Harper looked away and sighed. She has no better choice but to act as if she is ready, even if it is not. She does not want to be weak in their eyes.

Harper nodded, “Yes, I am,” she whispered. She felt Kesha slowly walked towards her direction. “You dream of avenging your family before, right? You want to avenge your father and the whole pack’s death,” A question making Harper look at her.

She nodded again. Yes, she had planned to have revenge before. But as time passed, the thought of revenge gradually vanished in her mind. She realised that revenge was not a solution. If you killed someone because he or she killed someone you love, it seems like there is no difference between the two of you.

“Well?” Kesha called her attention. Harper took a deep breath before talking, “I admitted that revenge once blinded me. The moment I saw his father killed my father, I only saw blood. And one thing came up into my mind, and I will never let him go. When I grow up, I will kill him with my own hand. It is hard to lose someone you love. It takes time to move and accept what happened. But time will heal a broken heart,” she honestly said.

She stared at her for a few seconds, “Is that why you saved his father?” The edge of Harper’s l*ips rose as she looked around.

“I believe everyone deserves a second chance,” she replied. Her father taught that to her before. Even how evil the things they did to you, you can’t just judge them by that. You need to know them more; maybe they were having the worst day.

Harper looked at Kesha when she heard her chuckle dryly, “I used to believe the same thing before, Harper. But everything changes,” she stopped talking and looked directly into her eyes. “Your kindness will kill you someday, Harper? she seriously said.

After Kesha said that, she was about to leave, but Harper stopped her. “I wanted to ask you something,” Kesha looked back and raised an eyebrow.

“Spill it,” she answered. Harper nodded, “Did you love my father?” Kesha’s unable to talk for a few seconds. “Of course,” she holds into the railings and sighs.

“I love him more than my life. I can’t believe he chose your mother instead of me,” Harper bit her l*ip. “I spend half of my life supporting him. I was there when he lost his Royal Beta position. I comforted him. I was there also when he formed his own pack. I always support him, but he never saw my efforts.”

Isn’t it only the obsession she feels for her father? “You love him, but let him die. Is that the love you know?” she questioned her. Kesha shook her head, “You don’t understand.”

Harper shakes her head, too, “I do. If you love my father, you won’t let him die. You were there when

that bloody night happened, right?” Kesha stared at her.

“Yes, I was there. And you’re right, and I let him die. He deserves that anyway,” she casually answered. Harper looked at her in pure disbelief. His father doesn’t deserve to die that way.

“If you’re in my situation, you might understand me, but you’re not. He’s the only one I love this way, but someone stole him from me.”

“You let my mother steal him away from you. Or maybe my father did not love you like what you think. If he loves you, he won’t choose my motheif Kesha glared at her.

“How dare you!” Harper shook her head. “Selene is a bitch for taking Duncan away from me!” Kesha screamed.

“My mother is not a bitch!” Kesha arched her brow. “Really? Of course, she’s your mother. You will take her side. But let me tell you this, Harper. Your mother is dead, and I hope she’ll riot in hell,” she said while smirking.

Harper closed her eyes tightly to calm herself, “Enough. Please don’t mention my mother’s name again. Let her rest in peace.” “Rest in peace, my ass.” She even rolled her eyes before leaving. Kesha’s indeed gone crazy. When Kesha vanished in her vision, Harper sighed deeply.

Harper stood straight and started to walk back into her room. When she got there, she lay down on her bed. She was wondering if Zach’s words were true. Will he really save her? She slowly caressed her tummy and smiled.

“Your father will save us, my child. Hold on, and we will end this war together^’ she whispered in the wind. She closed her eyes and let herself fall into the darkness. She needs energy for the incoming Lunar ecl*ipse.

“Tell us, what is Kesha planning for?” Zachary asked the man while he was holding his neck. They captured this man yesterday roaming inside the territory. He’s one of Kesha’s spies.

The man only grinned and did not bother to say a single word. “I’m warning you. Talk now, or I’ll cut your head?” the grin on his l*ips widened. “Even if you’ll cry blood,” he mocked. Zachary’s vision darkened, and he let go of the man. This one is a tough man, huh? We will see.

“All right, your choice,” After Zachary said that. He released a hard blow, making the man fall to the ground. He cried in pain and quickly begged for mercy. He thought the king was still under Kesha’s control.

“I’ll talk… I’ll talk now. Just don’t kill me; I’m begging!” He yelled while raising his hands as a sign of surrendering.

“You’re making everything complicated, but you will choose to talk. Dumbass,” Lisa commented in annoyance. She was standing in the corner.

“Speak!” Zachary commanded. The man nodded and bowed, “I don’t know what her plan is, but I heard her talking about the lunar ecl*ipse,” he said.

“Lunar Ecl*ipse?” the man nodded. “Yes, I think she wanted to control Harper? he added. Louisa was stunned by what she heard. It can’t be. No, Kesha wouldn’t dare.

“What do you mean?” Zachary asked again. “To seize the three kingdoms… Kesha will use Harper. Harper is the only tribrid in this world. Meaning to say, she’s the only one who can control us all.” Zachary’s brow furrowed in confusion, “I still don’t understand.” Louisa walked closer, “He’s right. In the witch kingdom, we are hiding a secret from everyone. We all know how powerful a tribrid can be.

Harper has been hiding this matter. And we are lucky because she never abused her power to seize the whole world,” She explained.

“What should we do then? If Kesha will control Harper, that will be hard,” Troy asked her.

“Simple. We need to stop her. We will attack them and kill Kesha,” she replied. Zachary’s l*ips formed into a tight line. He was thinking about how will he save the man he loved.

“Troy. Gather your warrior and prepare. This is not just a simple war? she informed him. Troy nodded his head. “I will. We will save my sister at any cost.” Louisa nodded.

“How about you, Zachary?” He looked at her. “I will go home to gather my men. I will make sure we will win this war. Everyone, prepare for the incoming war;’ they all nodded.

Zachary looked at his beta, Lance. Lance bowed and started to approach him. “We will leave now and return tomorrow; Louisa agreed.

Zachary and Lance started to leave. And while walking in the hallway, Lance talked. “Your father wanted to talk to you,” he said.

“I don’t have any time to talk to him. Let him stay in the dungeon until his punishment is made,” he

said emotionlessly. He never thought that his father was the one who caused his mother and sister’s death. He even blamed humans for nothing. Not everyone the eyes see is indeed true. “Got it,” Lance replied.

As soon they came back into the werewolf territory, Zachary and Lance met Matthew at the grand

door. “Daddy! Daddy! You’re back with the king. Your majesty,” he greeted bubbly.

Lance lifted him and smiled widely. Zachary stared at them. He’s thinking if he will be a good father to his son. He walked closer to Matthew and carefully patted his head.

“Hey, kiddo, do you miss me?” He asked him. The child smiled widely and nodded, “Of course, your majesty. But I miss Aunt Harper more. Where is she?” He asked and looked around, hoping he could see her.

Zachary shook his head, “she’s not here, but will be here soon.” Matthew’s eyes widened in joy, “Really?” He nodded.

“Yes. And she will give you a little surprise. But for now, kindly get off to your father’s arm because we still have an important matter to do.”

Matthew nodded his head, “Sure, your majesty.” Amanda arrived at the place; she shook her head. Zachary nods to acknowledge her presence.

“Mommy, mommy! His Majesty told me that Aunt Harper would be back soon. He even told me she’d surprise me, too,” Matthew excitedly informed his mother. Amanda smiled widely, “is that true, your majesty?” she asked.

He nodded, “Yes.”
