The Alpha’s Exclusive Stripper by Selena Madrid
Chapter 99
‘MY FIRST project was building shelters for women and children. I noticed that this kingdom almost has it all except for that. I named the shelters after you. The lords came to me to protest but they were quiet after I gave their wives bracelets imbued with my mana. It was not easy making them. It took me weeks but I did them with you in my mind.
‘I want everyone to know that when they are feeling lost, they can have a safe place to go to. I want to give them the same comfort that you give me. That’s what you are to me, my love. If only I could have your name written everywhere, I would.’
I heard Priscilla took a deep breath before she added, ‘I missed you today again, Trev. How are you doing there?’
I followed where the sound was coming from.

In the middle of the chaos I brought around me, I saw Zephyr standing a few steps away from me, holding what seemed to be a recorder in his h*and.
I heard Priscilla’s voice and the fire had disappeared all at once. My wolf had stopped and howled as her soft voice echoed in my ears.
“The princess h*anded this recorder to me before Trent dragged her out of the car. She protected this with her mana so it wouldn’t break, so I could keep it with me in secret,” Zephyr said in a shaky voice. He was still pale and weak, his knees were shaking, but he tried to keep himself steady as he looked at me with blood-shot eyes. He looked determined to stop me from burning him, from burning everyb*ody. “Please stop this, Trevor. For her sake. The princess wouldn’t want to see you like this.”
I shifted and ran to him. I snatched the recorder from his h*and and held it t*ightly.
“Love…” I whispered as I dropped myself on the ground. Jeremy had already taken his daughter away when I went berserk. But nothing had changed. Our link had been severed. I could not feel her presence anymore.
I stared blankly at the dark sky. There were many sounds surrounding me but I blocked them all to hear her voice one more time.
It was a record of her life for the past three months, a record of her missing me.
‘I don’t give a damn to what they say about us. Tonight, I’m going to meet you at that rooftop. Tonight and in all the nights of my life, I’m going to love you recklessly, Trevor. I’m not going to give up on us anymore. I will fight for you this time around.’
“I don’t want you to love me like that, Priscilla,” I answered. “I just want you alive. I’d do all the fighting for us. Just be here with me, love.”
I closed my weary eyes only to open them when I felt something cold on my forehead.
I saw several vampire soldiers surrounding me.
“Trevor Rodrigo, you are hereby sentenced to thirty days of imprisonment for breaking the law of the vampires,” Desmond, one of the lords announced. “You nearly put everyone in danger because of your uncontrolled emotions. It was a severe crime. If not for your contribution to this war against the Order and for your relationship with the royal family, the council wouldn’t have let this go. Refusing to be imprisoned will-”
“Just do it,” I said and held out my h*ands. “I don’t f*ucking care anymore.”
The soldiers put a h*andcuff on me before they escorted me to their car.
“This is only temporary, Trevor,” Zane said. “I swear I will get you out of there once things have settled. I’ve already discussed this with the King. He said that it would be best to lock you up in case you go ballistic again. Your pack will be sent to the villa. I will see to it that they will be taken care of.”
“That’s it? Tell the lords or your king that there is a better way to punish me.” I smacked my c*hest. “Tell them to come to me and just rip this f*ucking thing out of my c*hest. I will be more thankful for that.”
If I could just rip it myself, I would. But my own mana doesn’t work on me.
With every breath I take, the pain just attacks my c*hest in full force.
I thought I was over with that hole when I found her. With her gone, the hole was back. It was bigger. And it was worse than before. I could feel the hole even in my soul.
Zane clenched his h*ands. His eyes watered when he added, “I’m sorry, Trevor.”
He took a deep breath and motioned the soldiers to keep going while I held the recorder close to my heart and kept listening to Priscilla’s voice.
While the car was moving, I saw one of the shelters she built. My name was written right there in bold letters.
“Will you stop the car please?” I asked the driver. “I just want to see that place for a moment.”
The soldiers looked at the shelter. Understanding reached their eyes when they nodded. They stopped the car in front of the shelter. I could feel Priscilla’s mana there. When I lifted my h*ands, her mana swirled and new words were formed under the name of the shelter, under my name.
And written there was her message for me.
‘I miss you, Trevor.’
My throat t*ightened. I heard that there was a shelter in every town which meant that Priscilla had confessed her love for me in every town in her kingdom.
I clicked the button on the recorder while tracing the words under my name.
‘I hope I can meet you tonight, Trev. After you are done with your meeting with dad, I hope you can tell me where you are and I will come to you. This time, I will be the one to do it. I will take all the steps necessary to meet you. I made a mistake once. I won’t do it again. You won’t have to worry about saying those three words again because this time, I won’t leave. I love you.’
I clutched the recorder and pressed my head against the shelter’s wall. “You lied to me, love. You lied to me again.
