Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 115

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 2)

Chapter 115 He Got Bit (Genevieve Swan)

“Really? Could it be that he was actually telling the truth about the rogues?” Bellamy appeared relieved, but now new questions had been raised.

“Let’s go home first,” I stated, and Bellamy instantly obeyed. It took us only a few minutes to arrive home. I needed to take a shower first, and during that time, I’m certain Bellamy had informed the others about the news.

Once I emerged from the bathroom, feeling refreshed and better, I found my mates in the living room. They had probably discussed it, but now they were preparing to question Caspian for more details. I was still angry with him for thinking that kidnapping me and using force was an appropriate approach to anything.

At least one burden had been lifted from my c*hest.

Caspian looked at me and managed a weak smile as I sat down on the couch to listen to the conversation. I didn’t return the gesture. No matter what excuses he offered, he had still jeopardized my safety.

“So, the rogues dragged her into the woods. What were they trying to do to her?” Bellamy inquired, causing Wolvin’s b*ody to tense up.

He appeared somewhat lost now that he had discovered Caspian hadn’t actually harmed me, excluding the abduction prank.

“I don’t know. They just wanted her,” he replied dryly, swallowing too often. His l*ips were dry as if he were very thirsty. “Hm, can you tell us the approximate area where it happened?” Wolvin asked. Clearly, growing up in the woods, he might have encountered some rogues along the way.

“I don’t re—ally recall. It happened so suddenly. And then we were fighting so much that we didn’t realize how far away we had gotten from the parked car,” Caspian fidgeted with his f*ingers. Despite seeming innocent about other matters, he still looked guilty to me. There had to be at least something he was hiding.

“Do you remember regaining consciousness at all?” Wolvin inquired of me.

“No,” I shook my head.

“Ehm!” Caspian cleared his throat and then scratched his neck. Until this point, I had assumed he was acting strangely due to guilt, but the sweat forming on his skin made me wonder if he was sick.

It was incredibly cold, to the extent that we needed to light up the fireplace now.

“Are you okay?” Wolvin noticed and asked him.

“Yeah, I am just a little on edge,” he replied with difficulty, constantly scratching his hands and neck. He already had scratch marks that he claimed were left by the rogues, but the new ones he got from the wild wolves were the ones that he kept itching.

“I am fine,” Caspian coughed, rubbing his c*hest and looking around. He appeared to be in significant pain as he struggled to breathe, emitting a wheezing sound.

“Hey,” Emre got up while we were all deeply concerned. He tried to support him, but Caspian collapsed, frightening all of us.

“I am fi—ne,” he uttered, his eyes seemingly closing. Wolvin and Emre hurried to their feet, supporting him and carrying him to the bedroom on Wolvin’ s back.

“I think it’s from the scratches of the wild wolves,” Emre suggested. My heart rate increased rapidly.

His condition appeared to be very serious. He was wheezing and clutching onto the bedsheet, looking greatly disturbed.

“Let me breathe,” Caspian suddenly screamed, and that’s when chaos erupted.

“AHHHHHHHH! F*ucking let me breathe,” he began to squirm and fight against the others as they attempted to hold him down on the bed.

“Bring those chains,” Wolvin yelled to Emre, who complied and handed over the chains. Wolvin began securing him with the chains while Emre and Bellamy held him in place.

“No! Set me free,” Caspian’s voice didn’t even sound like his own. At least they had him tied down now.

We all gathered around the bed, watching as he strained so hard that we could hear his bones crack.

“What’s happening to him?” I turned to Emre, who might have witnessed many such things during the war.

“It is… I’m not sure, but it seems like he was bitten by those creatures,” Emre hesitated to meet my gaze.

“What happens when someone gets bitten by them?” I asked, my voice full of panic. I felt responsible for his condition.

However, I was in such a state that I couldn’t move past the idea that he had done something to me when I was unconscious. I was sure the others felt guilty for letting him go out alone last night.

“We don’t know,” Bellamy replied. “How can you not know?” I yelled back at them, my gaze shifting from one person to another as they all seemed to lack an answer.

“Because they were always instantly killed,” Emre added that detail, causing me to cover my mouth with my hands and almost sink to my knees.

“AHHH! Set me free, I want to breathe,” Caspian groaned, twisting and turning on the bed, bringing tears to my eyes at the sight of him in such agony.

“I cannot bre—athe,” he cried out again, and I felt on the verge of breaking down. Emre noticed and quickly reached out to comfort me.

“Hey, it’s not your fault. He didn’t make things easy when he kidnapped you. Given how bad your condition was, how were you supposed to trust his word?” Emre hissed, noticing my guilt.

“He is right. You shouldn’t feel guilty for questioning him. That’s your right,” Bellamy added. They were concerned about Caspian, but they were making sure I didn’t blame myself for his condition.

Wolvin, who had been quietly listening, mumbled, “He’s not bitten. He’s probably sick from being scratched by them so much.”

His statement brought only a slight relief before we saw Caspian’s shirt shifting as he struggled on the bed, and a distinct bite mark came into view.

It wasn’t an ordinary bite mark. It was undoubtedly from those wild wolves.

That was it; we had let him go out as a punishment without even confirming what his crime was.
