Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 123

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 2)

Chapter 123 The Two Alphas And The Sleeping Princess (Caspian Diego)

A Day Ago:

I surveyed my surroundings cautiously, ensuring that everyone was still asleep. The night had proven to be quite tumultuous. Not only had Monique dropped a bombshell on us, but my father had also been growing increasingly impatient with me.

I stealthily unlocked my phone and checked his messages.

Alpha: When are you going to do it?

Alpha: Her condition is deteriorating, and you’re enjoying your comfortable life?

Alpha: It’s another full moon; she’s going insane. Bring her or lose her.

I understood the implications of the text– whom he wanted me to bring or whom I would lose. I took a deep breath and slipped out of the house cautiously, making sure not to be detected by anyone. However, halfway through, I realized I was being followed.

The person following me turned out to be none other than Genevieve. I didn’t appreciate her coming after me in the midst of this crisis. It was complicated. “All I need is some blood from her,” I reminded myself, knowing I didn’t have to go to extremes by handing her over to my father. That was the original plan.

“Dad, what if I bring you the blood myself?” I whispered, vanishing from her sight and clutching my phone tightly as I waited for my father’s guidance.

“It wouldn’t work. There’s no way she’ll willingly give her blood to you.

Remember, she’s Lord Bernard’s daughter. He’s a dictator. Don’t do anything foolish and risk losing the chance to help someone you care about deeply,” Dad advised before ending the call.

I knew it wouldn’t be easy. What had I been thinking? Gen would never agree to the ritual, even if she consented to giving me some of her blood. So, it came down to only one option: I had to take her away from here.

It wasn’t easy for me. I had been harboring a multitude of secrets, some of which I hadn’t even shared with my father.

I took a deep breath and cautiously approached Gen from behind. I wrapped my arm around her stomach and forcefully covered her m*outh with my palm. The initial flinch in her body sent a wave of guilt through me, but I quickly overcame it when she started resisting. I hurriedly pushed her into the car, attempting to secure her.

However, the more I tried to restrain her, the more restless she became. It suddenly struck me that there was no way I could subject her to all this and then expect her to accept me later. What if I just put her to sleep and returned her home as if nothing had happened?

I had to do it. So I injected a small amount of a sleeping drug into her body. She dozed off right before my eyes, and I couldn’t shake the guilt that washed over me. But I felt like I had no other choice. Fate had played a cruel h*and with me.

I quickly jumped into the driver’s seat and began to drive away. It was then that I received a call from my father, who had been pressuring me to get it done as quickly as possible.

“Dad? How is she?” I asked, and he let out a grunt from the other side.

“She won’t survive another full moon if you don’t act fast. So, tell me, is she with you?” he inquired in a gruff tone. “Yes,” I replied, keeping an eye on her through the rearview mirror.

“Drop her off here, and we’ll commence the ritual soon,” my dad muttered before ending the call. I still couldn’t believe I was doing this.

“She will never forgive us for this,” Cas reminded me, emphasizing the importance of her forgiveness.

“I’m sure she’ll understand,” I replied, while grappling with the hope that she might see my situation and try to look past my chaotic actions.

“Hmm, if you’re so certain she’ll understand us, then why do we need to do this? Why force her against her will? We can talk to her, and she might willingly participate,” Cas suggested an alternative, and as my brain began to process how promising this idea was, my car slowed down.

I parked the car near the woods and stared at the road for a solid two minutes before agreeing to the idea.

“I think I’ll tell her everything and let her decide,” that was it. I no longer wanted to do anything to her that she wouldn’t approve of.

She was a kind and genuinely sweet person. There was no way she wouldn’t be on board with helping me through this mess. Initially, I hadn’t been sure about her. I knew she was a stunningly beautiful princess, someone I could only dream of having in my life, but I had never thought she was this kind-hearted.

My father had manipulated my mind enough to make me believe she was as ruthless as her father. But now, I didn’t buy into that anymore. So, I sat in the car and waited for her to wake up so that we could discuss everything.

As the minutes passed, my father grew increasingly impatient. He kept calling and texting me, demanding to know where I was.

I didn’t respond to any of his calls. I had nothing to say to him until I spoke to Gen first. It was her body, her blood, and she deserved to decide what she wanted to do.

“I don’t want to mess things up with her,” I repeated to myself. But before long, the door on my side opened, and the sight of the person entering nearly made my heart leap out of my chest.

“Huh! So you’re parked here while your old man is calling you?” Dad yelled, causing my eyes to widen. I hadn’t expected him to find me.

Then his eyes shifted to the backseat of the car, and my heart skipped a beat. “Oh, look what you’ve brought for us,” the way his eyes scanned her made it feel like he was stabbing me in the chest.
