Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee
Chapter 14 Sneakily Marking Me
Caspian’s canines grazed my skin, causing an itchy sensation that jolted me awake. I moved gently, protesting the discomfort, and one by one. my other mates noticed. Bellamy was the first to lift his head from my b*reasts, staring at me in confusion.
I shrugged my shoulders, successfully freeing myself from Caspian’s grasp. “What happened?” Emre asked, stepping to the side so he could face me.
Hesitantly. I t*ouched my neck to double-check if I hadn’t been marked. “Caspian!” I exclaimed when I confirmed I was unmarked, turning to face him. He appeared lost, as if unaware of why he had acted that way.
“What is going on?” Bellamy questioned, sounding baffled. I could hear a hint of excitement in his tone, eager to know the gossip, as he stepped between us to witness our reactions.

“You can’t mark me yet,” I addressed Caspian directly, watching him nod while stealing glances at everyone.
“Wait a minute. He was trying to mark you?” Bellamy gasped dramatically, covering his mouth with his hands and staring at Caspian.
“Why would you do such a thing, you sneaky b*itch!” Bellamy intervened, pushing Caspian back. However, it was clear from his tone that he was trying to provoke Caspian or make him feel guilty for his actions.
“I got lost in her scent, okay?” Caspian snapped, not catching the joking tone in Bellamy’s voice.
“And why the f*uck are you interfering?” He yelled at Bellamy’s face, forcing him to lower his head to control his anger.
“Enough! There is no need to argue,” I yelled back. Shocked by how quickly they were losing their composure, I stepped between them and clapped my hands to divert their attention from each other.
Just a few minutes ago, I thought the saying ‘the more, the merrier’ perfectly applied to my situation. But now, with many mates came many problems. When two of them were in a good mood, the third one always seemed to do something to ruin it.
“Huh!” Caspian groaned at me, picking up a knife from the counter and throwing it into the sink. Their male egos were the worst, and I couldn’t understand the purpose behind Caspian’s gesture.
Caspian left the kitchen while Bellamy grunted angrily. “Way to ruin the mood.” Emre commented, seemingly overhearing my muttering. I shared an awkward glance with Emre before leaving the kitchen to go after Caspian. I felt like I had made a mistake by calling him out in front of the others, but it wasn’t something to get too worked up about.
Was he perhaps embarrassed that the others found out he had tried to mark me? Or was it because marking me would make him look bad? A million different thoughts raced through my mind as I left the house in search of him.
“Caspian!” I called out, stepping off the porch and scanning the area ahead.
“No need to yell. I’m right here,” his voice from behind startled me. I spun around and let out a deep sigh of relief. Caspian was sitting on the back chair of the front porch, hunched over with his elbows resting on his thighs.
“That was quite childish,” I complained, referring to his reaction to Bellamy’s playful remarks.
“I couldn’t control the urge to mark you.” he uttered in a defeated tone I walked over and stood next to him. lacing his side.
“As soon as I got close to your neck, it felt like I was being summoned I could hear your single gulp, your heartbeat, and every little sigh that escaped your l*ips. It was so strange.” he explained, attempting to clarify his disorientation after being caught trying to mark me.
He ran his hands through his hair but avoided making eye contact. I could tell he was still embarrassed about losing control.
“Do you think maybe…” I mumbled under my breath, but fell silent when he swiftly turned to face me.
“We’re mates? Do you think it’s possible?” He asked, filled with anticipation and bewilderment. It was hard to discern if he was genuinely excited about being mates with me or just confused. “It’s possible,” I replied.
“But how?” he asked, his eyes brimming with numerous questions.
“I’ll have to take off my pendant for a bit.” I said, lowering my head and fidgeting with my lingers.
“Is that how you felt a mate bond with Alpha Ron?” Caspian bombarded me with questions.
“No! He was supposed to be my chosen mate. We had been friends since childhood,” I vigorously shook my head before responding.
It felt peculiar not to have spoken to Ron for over a month now. We used to be such close buddies. And then, Kit… everything changed so quickly. Or was it always this way?
“So, are you going to take it off for me?” Caspian’s soft murmurs brought me back to the present, and I looked at him with a slight nod. I felt a bit uneasy about it. although I couldn’t pinpoint why. Something in the back of my mind unsettled me, and it struck me as soon as I held the pendant in my hands. Why did I feel so numb inside during this conversation? I already had a fated mate. Why would I feel a mate bond with Caspian when I had already experienced it with Bellamy?
“Oh!” I smiled foolishly, shaking my head.
“What happened?” he asked, and I smiled once again, unsure of how to tell him that we wouldn’t feel a mate bond because I had already felt it with Bellamy. However, since he seemed so intrigued and confused about the way he had felt in the kitchen, I decided to proceed and let him see it for himself.
“Nothing. Are you ready?” I inquired, gently holding the pendant in my hand. I had never taken it off before, The first time was when the made me do it. After that, I had grown somewhat overconfident. Clearly, a weak wolf couldn’t transition so easily.
“I am,” he said, turning his chair to face me.
I carefully removed the pendant and let out a sigh, feeling a sense of relief. When I opened my eyes to meet Caspian’s gaze, I was astonished to hear a voice from within.
‘Mate!’
