Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 140

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 3)

Chapter 140 The Jealous Kit (Genevieve Swan)

I knew it would take some time for Caspian to start feeling better after hearing all the information I had shared with him. For someone like me, who had always been shielded from many truths about her life, I could understand how he must have been feeling.

He had so many questions to ask his father, but now he was gone, and Caspian was left without any answers. However, to give him some space to settle down and start feeling better, I decided to let him rest before he rejoined us.

At the same time, I left the room to find my mates. It was their first day in the mansion, and I didn’t want anyone to bother them or make them feel uncomfortable.

But there was only one name on my mind: Kit.

Ever since we had arrived, She had been hanging around too much. I knew she lived on the second floor, but she had never come out of her room this frequently before.

I glanced around the hallway and then spotted Bellamy and Wolvin in the living room, watching TV. There was only one mate unaccounted for: Emre.

Something in my gut told me to search for him in the garden. Maybe it was because I had always noticed Kit’s longing looks directed at him, and since she was in the garden, he had to be there too.

He was also familiar with the layout of the mansion, so wandering around wasn’t too much trouble for him.

And I was correct.

As soon as I stepped out of the mansion, I spotted Emre standing next to a large tree, and Kit was steadily approaching him. Anger surged through my body as I remembered how she had attempted to disrupt my life in the past. Technically, losing a fiance on the wedding day is considered a ruined life. But for me, my life began from that moment.

“Your hair has grown so much,” she whispered as she approached Emre without warning. He shook his head to snap out of whatever thoughts had consumed him and turned to face her. “About my hair?” Emre furrowed his brow. “They look great like this. I wish I could show you how to do a top-notch man bun,” she chuckled to herself, expressing her desire to t*ouch my mate’s hair. “Aha!” Emre muttered to himself, leaving me to wonder why he hadn’t dismissed her already. “What makes you think I’d come to you to learn anything? Wolvin does the best man buns; I’d rather ask him for help,” Emre replied dryly, but she seemed oblivious to the indirect hints. “That rogue?” Disgust was evident on Emre’s face upon her reaction, which not only caught my attention but also seemed to disturb him deeply.

“I’m sorry to say this, but don’t you think a warrior like you shouldn’t be spending time with him?” she murmured under her breath, while Emre’s gaze intensified. “I know I don’t sound good right now by saying this, but since when have Rogues become our friends? I know he somehow married Genevieve, butthat doesn’t mean the warriors should forget how many lives they’ve lost because of those unruly rogues. And I’m not saying this because they are poor and homeless, but because they lack etiquette and morals,” she shrugged after venting her strong dislike for Rogues. It made me worry about his stay here.

I knew for a fact that he was the despised son-in-law of my father, but they were not even considering the fact that now he is married to me, and he should be treated with the same respect after he had proven he is not malicious.

“Hmm! I wonder what you eat to spew so much negativity,” Emre’s response caught her off guard. She was used to being able to convince people somehow. What she didn’t know was that these mates of mine were not easily swayed, unlike Ron. “Excuse me?” She laughed hysterically, pretending to brush it off as a joke.

“It’s not a laughing matter. Sometimes I believe it’s the negativity and hostility from the pack members towards the rogues that make them feel that way towards us. There’s no need to harbor hatred for anyone; just treat them as your own kind, and your life will be much better,” Emre didn’t hold back and gave her a stern lecture. “And as for a warrior befriending a rogue, I think you’d understand our feelings. Since you are neither,” he pointed a f*inger at her face before stepping away.

She remained rooted in her spot, not moving. But not long after Emre took a step away from her, he stopped and raised his head to spot me in the distance.

“As for the man bun, I guess I know who else can help me with it,” his eyes sparkled when he saw me, filling my heart with a glimmer of hope.

“I’m sure my beautiful mate can take care of me. And if she can’t do a perfect man bun, I’m sure just running her pretty, delicate f*ingers through my hair would be enough,” he said as he walked closer and held my h*and, running his f*ingers over mine, sending a surge of electricity through me.

“Hm, I’ll go inside now,” Kit decided to make her presence known, as she didn’t have any other response left to offer.

As she passed by me, she paused briefly at the door and turned around to make eye contact with me. “By the way, I’m glad you’ve arrived at the right time. There will be a significant event very soon, and I’m sure you’d love to help me with everything since you’re my only sister. Your dad has been talking to Alpha Ron about our mating ceremony.”

As she finished, I swiftly straightened my back and turned my head to look at Emre instead. I knew he noticed the discomfort I was displaying, but in that moment, I was too preoccupied with memories from my past to react in a certain way.

“You’re bothered by the news?” Emre questioned, and I saw it coming.
