Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 148

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 3)

Chapter 148 My Gentle Giant Mate (Genevieve Swan)

“Wait, where are you going?” Dad held my h*and tightly this time when he noticed I was getting out of my seat.

I looked around and saw everybody staring at me. The smirk on Kit’s l*ips made me even more frustrated. Why was this family once again invited over for every meal as if their daughter hadn’t ruined my wedding?

“I would like to eat with my husband,” I whispered, gently freeing my h*and from my father’s grasp and grabbing my plate, which I had filled to the top with everything I could get my hands on. For some reason, I couldn’t help but wonder if my father even let Wolvin have proper food.

“There’s no need for it. Don’t you think it will be terrible for anyone to see a princess sitting outside on the ground and eating like a stray dog?” my father’s words only confirmed what he thought of Wolvin, and it really bothered me.

“I’ll be fine, don’t worry,” I replied. I still got up with my plate and left the dining room, while Emre and Caspian averted their eyes from me like guilty ones.

They knew they had messed up when Wolvin was treated so poorly in front of them, and they stayed seated and said nothing in his defense.

If only they had also left the mansion with Wolvin, he wouldn’t have to deal with it all alone. As soon as I walked out of the mansion, my heart ached at the sight of him.

He was sitting in the garden with his plate in front of him. There was a pancake and an apple on his plate.

I walked over, feeling guilty, and sat down next to him.

“Oh, hey, don’t sit here. You’re wearing pink; it’ll get dirty,” he instantly took off his jacket and laid it down for me when he realized I wasn’t listening to him and was about to sit down.

I sat on his jacket, feeling a pang of sadness for how my father hadn’t even let him sit with everybody else. That was the difference between him and my father, who called himself a king. “Here,” I placed my plate down and offered him the hash browns.

“Oh, it’s fine. This is enough for me,” he smiled, taking a bite from the apple. “Hey, you’re a big guy. You should eat well,” I nudged him, urging him to share my plate.

The way he twisted his body to the side and then tilted his head to look at me gave me goosebumps. He looked so handsome and cute.

“Don’t tell me you came outside because your dad kicked you out as well,” in his innocent way, he commented and shook his head at my father’s behavior.

“Well, in all honesty, I don’t enjoy eating indoors,” I shrugged back, eating with him.

“What’s up with Bellamy?” Wolvin continued to talk as if nothing had happened, not really discussing or complaining about how my father had treated him.

“I don’t know. He’s been acting odd and constantly looking around as if he’s searching for something,” I replied, and I noticed Caspian and Emre coming out of the mansion with their own plates.

“Huh! Now they realize what they should have done earlier,” I rolled my eyes but felt a sense of peace in my heart. At least they had learned from their mistake.

The two came out and joined us. “It was getting crowded inside,” Caspian commented with his eyes lowered. “Where is Bellamy?” I inquired.

“Oh, he’s sitting inside, being all buddy-buddy with your father,” Caspian answered, sharing his food with Wolvin. “What happened to him? He was taunting and talking rudely about my father not even a few minutes ago, and now he’s…” I couldn’t finish because Emre had something to say.

“All in your father’s lap?” Emre let out a laugh while shaking his head at Bellamy’s hypocrisy.

“Something is up with him, and we need to figure it out soon before he makes a mistake,” I felt like a broken record for suggesting the same thing repeatedly. “If you want to ask him about anything, ask him why he’s so invested in henbane?” Wolvin, who didn’t even raise his head from his food, commented, and we all turned to look at him.

“We already know that, Roger,” Caspian rolled his eyes.

“He wants to steal henbane and sell it,” Emre shrugged, making it clear that Wolvin was far behind in this conversation.

“Why would he steal something that belongs to him in the first place?” Wolvin’s comment left us all bewildered.

I kept staring at his face while he didn’t seem too surprised by the revelation.

“Why would you say that?” I inquired, watching Emre and Caspian look in his direction silently as well.

“What? You don’t know anything?” Wolvin frowned and then got up from his spot after finishing his meal.

“I’m going to take a walk around,” he didn’t explain anything and walked away from us, leaving us puzzled. Henbane was in our lockers; how could it belong to Bellamy?

“You know, there’s something very mysterious about Wolvin,” Caspian said as he stroked his chin.

“What do you mean?” I turned to Caspian, who was still lost in thought.

“When we were talking about Emre’s girlfriend, it seemed like he knew,” Caspian added, and Emre almost choked on his drink.

“Yeah, he did. What about it?” I didn’t think it was too odd. If Emre told him about his girlfriend, obviously he would know.

“But the thing is, Emre told us he had never told anyone about it. I mean, I was mad at him for hiding it from me, and he said he never told anyone,” Caspian continued, leaving us all puzzled. “And that’s true. Why are you saying Wolvin knew? I have never told him anything about my girlfriend,” Emre instantly turned to face me, making me gulp at the realization that it was indeed odd that Wolvin claimed to know about Emre’s girlfriend, a subject he had never raised himself before anyone.
