Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 150

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 3)

Chapter 150 Lost His Loved Ones (Bellamy Holmes)

“You were great today,” Dad patted my back as we walked into the mansion to get some rest.

“Thank you, Dad,” I smiled proudly, feeling fulfilled. I was a little sad that I didn’t get to see Vieve today. But at least my class went amazingly. If I did everything well and became a better person, the Moon Goddess would answer my prayers.

Then I could befriend her and even talk to her.

I sat down comfortably while another maid served us juice. Ruth had to leave with my mother to accompany her at the party. I didn’t understand why it was needed, but Dad said Mom was not feeling well.

“Dad, is Mom going to be okay?” I asked after taking a big sip from my glass of juice.

“Your mom will be sick for some time, and then… she’ll gift you something,” Dad had a cheeky smile on his l*ips as he chuckled to himself.

“Dad, I’m twelve, you know you can tell me anything, right?” I rolled my eyes at him for being so secretive.

I knew what it was about, or at least I could take a guess.

“Is Mom pregnant?” I asked, and he almost choked, coughing and trying to regain his composure.

“Oh, come on, Dad,” I slapped my forehead as I watched him compose himself.

“How did you know?” Dad finally decided not to hide it. Once it was confirmed, a huge smile spread across my face. “Is it real?” I clapped my hands excitedly as I jumped off the couch.

“Yes, she is. And I can tell you are very eager to be a brother,” he hugged me, and I patted his back, feeling enthusiastic about having a sibling.

“I’m proud of you, Dad, good job done in the field,” as soon as I said that, Dad broke the hug and stared at my face in shock before he started laughing loudly. “When will Mom come home, though?” I let out a sigh and leaned back on the couch. We had been watching Lion King for the past few minutes, and I couldn’t stop missing my mom. She was supposed to come home soon.

In fact, she even called Dad and told him she was on her way home, so why hadn’t she come home yet?

Dad looked bothered too. I’m sure he was understanding why I was so restless. She never came home this late. Usually, I didn’t notice the time change because I was with her. But the first time I didn’t go with her, and she was already losing track of time.

“I will call the pack border and ask them if she has entered the pack,” Dad got up from his seat and contacted the border caretakers.

After speaking to them, he looked even more distressed.

“That’s so weird,” he mumbled, “she hasn’t even come near the border yet.”

It was becoming more and more concerning. She was supposed to have crossed the border minutes ago. And the fact that her phone was also not working didn’t help matters.

“I am going to speak to Lord Bernard’s border warriors,” Dad looked intense when saying his name. If only Lord Bernard hadn’t forced the rich people on his list to attend the parties at any cost, Mom would have been able to skip a day.

I sat on the couch, worried and praying for her safe return when Dad came back to the living room after talking to Lord Bernard’s warriors. He looked panicky and distraught, with emotions on his face that I couldn’t even read.

“Dad, what’s happening?” I asked as I watched him grab his car keys and rush toward the exit.

“Stay here and take care of the mansion, okay? Daddy is going to bring Mom home, alright?” There was something in his eyes as he held me by my arms and smiled weakly.

I spotted tears in his eyes.

“Dad,” I called for him again and again, but he had already left in his car. I didn’t understand why he couldn’t take me with him. But as I returned to the living room, I found Ariel waiting for me there.

She had just been dropped off by her father, who had signed the papers and accepted the rank of the royal beta just a few minutes ago.

“Congratulations to us,” she cheered, jumping on the couch. Her wide smile indicated how desperate she was for this day.

“Oh, sorry, congratulations,” I felt bad for not paying attention. Everyone’s happiness was important. But I was solely bothered by what was happening with my parents.

“What’s the matter?” she asked, clasping her hands in her lap and staring my way.

“My mom hasn’t come home yet, and dad left to check on her, and I–” I sighed as I buried my face in my hands.

“Oh! My mom is with your mom. I’m sure they are fine,” the sudden change in her tone made me worried about her mental peace.

I shouldn’t have said anything. Now she would be worried about her mother too. “I’m sure you’re right. Let’s watch the movie and wait for their arrival,” I forced a smile onto my l*ips, though I felt no interest in the movie. As I sat there, I tried to watch the TV with an absent mind. My head would constantly turn to look at the door as I anticipated their arrival.

I tried calling my father once, but he didn’t pick up my calls. At this point, everything was beginning to look bad. There was no way my parents were together and had decided not to inform me. Dad knew how worried I was for Mom, so why wouldn’t he give me a quick call and let me know that Mom was fine and with him?

That’s when the worst fear of my life came to life. Brian, Ariel’s father, walked into the living room in a disheveled state. Without uttering a single word, he got on his knees in front of his daughter and hugged her tightly.
