Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 155

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee (Book 3)

Chapter 155 The Abandoned Mate. (Genevieve Swan)

I woke up hours later on the cold floor, and the very first thing that crossed my mind was, “Oh, no! Caspian!”

As I got up from the floor, I almost tripped again due to dizziness. But once I had gathered all my senses and energy, I rushed toward the bathroom door. I didn’t even know how long I had been passed out until I left the bathroom and saw the big clock on the wall striking 5 am. “Oh no!” I shook my head in disappointment and reached for the door when I noticed notifications on my phone. He had bombarded my phone with countless texts and phone calls throughout the hours.

His last call had been around 3:30 am.

I tried calling him, but he never answered my phone. I could hear the bells ringing outside, but I guessed he was too upset with me to respond. Or perhaps he decided to go for a run alone?

“It’s alright. Once I tell him what happened to me and how I passed out on the bathroom floor, he’ll understand,” I convinced myself and went to bed instead. There was no point in waiting around because it was clear he wasn’t going to respond to me.

I even asked the security at the main gate, and they told me he had left alone in his car. So it wasn’t like I could go after him with the thought that wild wolves were everywhere.

I woke up late that morning, and it seemed like all my mates had already woken up and left the bedroom. This new situation didn’t sit well with me; everything was falling apart, and my mates were acting very strangely.

I recalled what Emre had said about Wolvin always knowing everything. What the hell did that even mean now?

I changed into white pants and a grey top for the day. When I headed downstairs, I discovered that Emre had accompanied my dad to the Gamma house for some reason, while Wolvin had gone off to the woods.

Caspian was still absent, but before I could worry too much about him, I heard that he had actually attended breakfast with the others.

As for Bellamy, my mind kept replaying the scene from the previous night. I wandered around until I found Mrs. Browning in the study room with Monique. I didn’t want to speak to her in the presence of Monique, but I felt like I had no other choice.

“Where is Kit?” I asked Mrs. Browning, who looked surprised by my question. “Why do you want to know about her?” Mrs. Browning questioned, while Monique took off her glasses and closed the book in her lap, showing clear interest in where this conversation was heading. “I want to speak to her about something,” I replied, feeling judged under Mrs. Browning’s gaze.

“You’re not going to argue with her or try to make her feel bad about what happened at dinner last night, are you?” she raised her eyebrow, and that’s when Monique cleared her throat to add her thoughts to the conversation.

“She’s in the backyard,” Monique replied with a smile, “and Mrs. Browning, don’t you already know that Genevieve is not like that.”

I felt better when Monique supported me. Her backing me up made Mrs. Browning refrain from saying anything further to me.

I left the study and quickly made my way into the backyard, but what I saw immediately upset me. Bellamy was there in the backyard with Kit, teaching her some fighting moves.

“Good morning,” I greeted them, feeling a bit desperate as I joined them. My presence alone prompted Bellamy to take a step away from Kit.

“Oh hey, Genevieve! Your mate is amazing,” Kit smiled, placing a h*and on her chest to steady her breaths.

“Isn’t he?” I mumbled, watching as Bellamy averted his gaze from me. “He was helping me work out, and trust me, it really helped with my anxiety,” she said, making direct eye contact with me. “Yeah, amazing,” I replied, standing there with my arms folded across my chest, clearly feeling uneasy about the situation. “Kit!” before the conversation could go any further, Mrs. Browning appeared in the backyard, calling for her daughter’s attention. “What are you doing over there? Come with me; I’ve got something for you.”

It was clear that her mother knew she was with Bellamy, and once she realized I was going to catch them together, she rushed to save her daughter’s situation. “Okay!” Kit yelled back, straightening her posture as she turned back to us. “I’ll be back for more.”

The way she smiled at Bellamy made me clench my fists. I waited for her to be completely out of my sight so that I could talk to Bellamy without any interruption.

As soon as she walked away, I turned to face Bellamy. “If you’re going to argue with me, save it,” Bellamy hissed, shrugging carelessly.

“I won’t,” I replied, which made him raise an eyebrow.

“It’s just sad that the girl who gave me anxiety is getting comforted by my own mate when she’s anxious,” I let out a laugh, trying to hide my tears.

“Vieve!” Bellamy took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and murmured, “I can’t help it. I have to do it.”

I was shocked at how miserable he sounded, making it clear that he wouldn’t stop pursuing Kit even if it broke my heart.

“And what about me? Do you not care that I’ll never be able to forgive you?” I asked honestly.

He opened his eyes and studied my face in silence before he said something so heartbreaking that I immediately blamed myself for ever thinking I would be on his mind. “I just know that I cannot upset Ariel.”

I was left speechless, hurt, and overwhelmed with a mixture of emotions. “Then what do you want me to do? Do you want me to reject and divorce you so that you can keep pursuing those two women who matter to you?” I asked earnestly.

But the answer I received was not what I had expected. “I guess that would be the right thing to do,” he suggested with a nod of his head.
