Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee Chapter 17

Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 17 It Was All A Big Play

The following morning, I woke up with an overwhelming sense of shyness. It was the loud banging on the door that jolted me from my slumber. Carefully untangling myself from Caspian’s arm and gently moving Bellamy’s face away from my n*eck, I noticed that Wolvin was the only one who had stirred since his sleep seemed rather sensitive.

Wolvin turned his head towards me, his expression contorting into a frown as his gaze shifted between Caspian and Bellamy. Feeling self-conscious, I awkwardly adjusted my nightdress and left the bed, making my way toward the bathroom. I intended to freshen up before them, as the person at the door seemed determined to enter. After taking a shower and donning a pair of blue jeans and a red top, I exited the bathroom, feeling content.

The previous night, both Bellamy and Caspian had made me feel incredibly special. The words Bellamy whispered in my ear during our i*ntimate encounter were unexpected. He confessed his readiness to leave his girlfriend for me, which served as a clear indication of his willingness to accept me. I hadn’t wished to come between a couple, but I found myself in this situation now.

I discovered that it was actually Emre who had arrived home with breakfast. Shaking my head to dismiss my thoughts, I left the bathroom and ventured out to locate everyone else. Feeling a mixture of excitement and shyness at the prospect of seeing both Emre and Caspian, I stealthily left the room and followed the voices that emanated from the living room. As I entered, I realized there was quite a commotion taking place.

“Good morning,” I greeted them with a cheerful smile, and my mood lifted.

It felt peculiar to be in the same room as them now. The way Emre and Caspian glanced at me, their smirks revealing that they were relishing the memories of the previous night.

“We prepared breakfast for you,” Caspian announced, promptly rising from his seat to arrange a place for me. This was a gesture they had not made before, so I was pleasantly surprised by the positive change.

“Thank you,” I replied with a grateful smile, taking a seat and observing Emre swiftly pouring a glass of juice for me.

This was the kind of experience I had hoped for in this marriage. I wasn’t seeking constant attention, but I yearned for love more than anything else in the world.

“Thank you for the special treatment,” I expressed, savoring a sip of the freshly squeezed orange juice.

Without delay, Bellamy grabbed a bowl of fruits and positioned it within my reach. I felt truly cherished.

“I can train you in sword fighting if you’d like,” Wolvin offered his help, surprising me since he hadn’t been very talkative with me until now.

I expected him to be in a bad mood since he was the only one who didn’t get into action with me last night. But he seemed cheerful.

“That would be incredibly generous of you/’ I murmured, feeling my cheeks flush as I became the centre of their attention.

“It would be amazing to witness such a beautiful princess mastering sword skills,” Emre’s compliment caused me to bury my face and uncontrollably smile.

Everyone had been right about them. They truly were perfect. Now that they were treating me kindly, I felt incredible.

Their eyes sparkled with delight whenever they looked at me. My heart was filled with joy, and I finally felt less like a burden. Perhaps it was true that once you feel a mate bond with someone, you treat them with respect. Wolvin was the only one I hadn’t formed a mate bond with, but after experiencing it with the other three, I began to believe that fate had brought us together.

“You guys are being so sweet,” I said, reaching for the sandwich. Just as I took a bite, I noticed Caspian exchanging a meaningful look with Bellamy.

“What’s going on? Do you want to say something?” I asked, a pleasant yet shy smile adorning my l*ips.

“Yeah, actually…” Bellamy cleared his throat, straightening his posture before speaking, “You should know that your father and the council have a Royal locker,” he paused abruptly, glancing at Caspian to continue.

“They keep all the information there,” I replied, observing them exchange another enigmatic smile.

“So, we used to have access to it until our packs lost rank and were no longer on the prestigious pack list,” Caspian muttered with a tinge of sadness in his voice.

“I never had access, and Wolvin didn’t either. But now we were wondering…” Emre paused, allowing Wolvin to take over.

“Can we gain access to it?” Wolvin asked straightforwardly. “Since we are now the alpha kings, even temporarily, can we obtain access?” he inquired, causing me to glance at each of their faces before setting the sandwich down and struggling to swallow the bite.

“So, all of this was to gain access?” I pointed at the food and the respect they had been showing me. The pang of pain drained all my energy. Just moments ago, I had been filled with hope, and they shattered it.

“No! We were merely wondering why your father hasn’t updated our names on the list of Royals yet,” Caspian interjected swiftly, attempting to rectify the misunderstanding, but it was too late.

It all makes sense now.

Their sudden display of care had been utterly fake. I was foolish not to see past their sweet gestures and detect the lies.

“You made all the deals with my father, so why didn’t you ask him?” I tilted my h*ead, piercing Caspian with my gaze.

“Don’t you have any say in this?” Bellamy questioned, wearing a strange expression of weariness.

“I do. I am a royal, remember? As for you, you’re only going to stay here until I turn 23. Perhaps that’s why my father never granted you that, right?” I spoke bitterly, feeling used.

“Huh,” Emre scoffed, forcing himself to avert his gaze to prevent hurtful words from escaping his l*ips.

“Wait a minute, so you’re not going to help us?” Caspian’s tone lost its sweetness.

“Wait,” I swallowed, “was that the only reason you all have been nice to me?” I asked, my eyes fixed on their faces. I felt hurt and manipulated as they exchanged a furtive glance.
