Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 27 His Wife

“Thank you,” I sniffled, averting my gaze from him. I felt a twinge of embarrassment for letting my emotions get the better of me and sharing my secrets with him. They weren’t significant secrets, but they revealed my flaws, and I didn’t want to appear miserable in front of them.

“It’s okay. Your secrets are safe with me,” he smiled, his eyes shifting to the knife in his h*and.

“I have a collection of these, but they’re no ordinary knives. I’ve achieved great things with them, so they hold great importance to me,” he stated, his gaze filled with affection for his cherished blades. Before I could even contemplate what to say next, he swiftly retrieved the black leather bag and placed the knives inside.

He then proceeded to walk away, disappearing into the woods. I knew he would venture down to test his knives. I felt fatigued but didn’t want to go inside and confront them.

As I sat on the grass, someone finally approached me. “What was all that?” Caspian hissed, coming to a stop behind me.

“You tell me,” I replied, shifting the responsibility back to them. They were the ones who needed to answer me.

“He is our friend. We need—” Bellamy paused, and I assisted in completing his sentence.

“We need to use him to gain access to the Royal lockers,” I scoffed when saying what was on their minds.

“Well, since you didn’t want to help us,” Bellamy shrugged and walked in front of me. I assumed the guests had already left.

Following him came Emre, who appeared even angrier due to my previous remarks.

“You will not refer to me as your little slave again,” he commanded, but I shook my h*ead at him.

“I will do as I please. You went to such great lengths just to prove your point. You brought in my worst enemy, and now you expect me to be nicer to you guys?” I burst into laughter, tears welling up in my eyes.

“Yeah, cry like a baby,” Emre commented, finally looking satisfied upon witnessing tears in my eyes.

It was at that moment I realized that Emre was too self-absorbed to see me emerge victorious over him. “I’ll do just that. And don’t worry, your shoulder will be the last one I rely on,” I stood up from the grass, dusting off my dress, and locked eyes with Emre. “I hope you enjoy being Ron’s little b*itch.”

I watched Emre flinch, his reaction mimicking a desire to physically attack me. I despised it when men resorted to such displays of power.

“Ron, his girlfriend, and his friend are coming over for dinner. It would be better if you made them feel at home,” Bellamy stated, fully aware that it would be impossible for me to cook anything for them. Nevertheless, he said it to torment me.

I simply stared at them before h*eading back to the house. After spending some time alone in the bedroom, when the moment finally arrived for Ron and Kit to arrive, I grabbed a silver knife, put on cargo p*ants and a brown top, and made my way to the living room. I had decided to go out on a hunt, something I had never done before. Since I didn’t possess an active wolf, I was forbidden from venturing into the woods during the late hours of the night, when crazed wolves or rogues were likely to be lurking. But I had to come to terms with the fact that I would have to face these dangers someday.

“Hey! Where are you headed?” Bellamy yelled from the kitchen, briefly scanning the refrigerator.

“She didn’t cook anything,” Caspian sighed, pacing restlessly.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I was supposed to cook for your master,” I shrugged, avoiding eye contact with them, knowing that it would bruise their egos.

“Will you quit-” Emre hissed, attempting to approach me before giving up. “Huh! They’re here.”

I clenched my f*ingers tightly around the strap of the bag and took a deep breath before making my way toward the backyard. Wolvin hadn’t returned, so I expected to encounter him in the woods. I hurriedly set off, but I couldn’t go too far as Gale began to chase after me, while the others wondered why I hadn’t stopped to greet them.

“Hey! That’s rude,” he exclaimed, causing me to slow down. With the others having already gone inside, it was just the two of us.

“Gale, what do you want?” I asked, placing my h*ands on my waist and wearing an exhausted expression.

“Whatever you’re willing to offer me,” he replied, rubbing his chin and scanning my body, making it clear what he expected from me.

Rolling my eyes at him, I found him retort, “Isn’t it painfully obvious that your mates treat you poorly? Do you think they would have invited your ex to their home if they respected you?” He wasn’t entirely wrong, and his words stung, but I refused to show any weakness.

“Are you done? Because I have to go,” I said, turning around to leave. However, before I could make my escape, I felt his f*ingers wrap around my n*eck in a swift move that left me unable to protest. He forcefully pulled me back and forcefully pressed his l*ips against mine.

“Mmmph,” I struggled, attempting to push him away, but his strong grip made it difficult for me to move. “Let me go!” I finally managed to break the k*iss, and as I raised my h*and to strike him, he grabbed my h*and once again and forcefully pulled me into another unwanted k*iss.

“F-” I screamed into his m*outh, and suddenly, the most terrifying howl reverberated from the side.

“How dare you t*ouch her?” The voice was thunderous and filled with rage, causing Gale to release me and step back to see who had arrived.

Wolvin stood in the darkness, his muscles straining against his shirt and his wolf urging to break free and take over his body.

I had never witnessed such anger in anyone before.

“She is my wife,” he declared, and with those words, he lunged at Gale, ready to attack.
