Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 33 Back Me Up Against The Wall. (Genevieve Swan)

The car ride was far from peaceful; I found myself sandwiched between them, hugging myself tightly.

“What the hell were you thinking?” Emre erupted in anger as soon as Bellamy veered onto a desolate road. They were cunning, always acting civil in the presence of other cars or people. It was when we were alone that their true colors emerged.

“You wanted to make us suffer, didn’t you?” Caspian hissed, gripping my wrist forcefully to make me face him.

“Let go of me!” I yelled, trying to pinch his h*and, but his grip was unyielding, his h*ands unnaturally strong.

“Listen to me, you piece of s*hit. We’ve had enough of your b*ratty attitude. We’re going to teach you how to behave from now on because we won’t tolerate your s*hitty behavior for the next few years until we’re free from your wretched company,” Caspian’s words pierced me like poison, showing no concern for the pain they caused.

He pushed me back, settling comfortably in his seat, shaking his h*ead and occasionally scoffing to display his anger, just like the others.

I detested my life at that moment. It felt as if I were back in that pink princess house, suffocating. When we arrived, Emre didn’t even wait for me to exit the car on my own. He forcefully grabbed my wrist and dragged me out, nearly causing me to trip on the road.

Once I was shoved into the living room and slammed against the wall, the four of them stood before me, seething with anger.

I felt like a child about to be scolded for misbehaving.

“This kind of behavior is not acceptable here!” Bellamy yelled, pushing me back and cornering me. The way they manhandled me made me feel small and insignificant.

I’m an adult now; why am I still being disrespected?

“You can’t disrespect me like that,” I whispered, keeping my eyes downcast.

“What did she say?” Bellamy asked Caspian. I couldn’t make out their actions as my focus was fixed on their shoes.

I didn’t want to meet their gaze and lock eyes because I knew I would burst into tears. I felt deeply hurt and was ready to shed some genuine tears. “You can’t disrespect me like that,” I repeated, this time in a louder tone, ensuring they heard me correctly.

“Aha?” Caspian scoffed, as if questioning how audacious it was of me to object.

“Do you even know what disrespect is?” Bellamy leaned over, placing his h*and above my h*ead on the wall and bringing his face closer to mine.

Now, I could allow him the satisfaction of eye contact because if I didn’t, he would lose his mind.

“It’s when you cradle your little sister in your arms and navigate through a terrifying horde of beasts, pleading with a heartless alpha king to help save her, only to have him laugh in your face and demand your mother to be offered to one of his guards for s*ex before he considers assisting,” it was Caspian who muttered each word from behind him, leaving me bewildered as to what he was referring to.

“Or when he steals from everyone else to build a pink castle for his princess daughter,” Bellamy continued with the same topic, clearly targeting me this time. Tears began welling up at the mention of that pink castle.

“You ungrateful b*itch, you cry over trivial things when you have no idea how dire the situation is for others out there,” he suddenly yelled, slamming his h*ead against the wall, causing me to cover my ears and flinch.

“I told you she’s becoming uncontrollable. We must do something about her,” Caspian stepped forward as Bellamy stepped back.

While they shouted at me and reminded me of how perfect my life was, Wolvin was getting agitated.

“Where’s my dagger?” he broke his silence, demanding with a rage that made his eyes turn red. I was so shaken up and lost in the memories of the pink castle that I didn’t quite hear him until he stepped forward and snatched the bag from me.

It wasn’t inside the bag, so before he started patting me down, I retrieved the dagger from my waistband and stretched my h*and out to give it to him.

“Give me that,” he grunted, snatching it roughly enough to cut my palm.

“Argh!” a small yelp escaped my l*ips as blood poured from my h*and. They all froze for a moment before Wolvin shook his h*ead and stepped forward. “I didn’t mean to…” I don’t know why he acted as if he was sorry, as none of them had ever shown empathy towards me.

“Leave me alone!” Finally, I had reached my limit. I yelled and turned around, facing the wall as I sobbed silently, holding my injured h*and.

“Oh, look at that, the typical princess behavior,” Emre scoffed wearily. They never allowed me to cry and would always judge me if tears filled my eyes. It was so frustrating that everything I did was frowned upon, as if I could never genuinely be hurt.

“Let’s leave her there. Once she realizes no one is giving in to her tactics, she’ll come around,” Caspian suggested, and one by one, I heard them walk away.

I stood there, facing the wall, for a whole hour, crying until my eyes were swollen. Then I composed myself and decided to clean up my wound. I had made a mistake by crying in front of them.

Never again!

Since nobody cared, I wouldn’t cry.

I entered the room to find them engrossed in watching TV. They had gotten a new TV for the bedroom, which seemed more captivating to them than checking on their crying mate. I walked past them, avoiding any interaction. I could tell Caspian was side-eyeing me, pretending to watch TV while subtly waving the remote control.

I went into the bathroom, washed my h*and, and retrieved the first aid kit to clean the wound. The blade had been so sharp that it had left a deep cut. “I need to learn more about my mother’s death,” I uttered.

The day hadn’t been a complete loss. I had discovered the possibility that my mother’s death was not merely a result of unfortunate circ*umstances.

Now that I had a motive to keep going, I resolved to use my seemingly worthless life to uncover the truth about that woman from the mountains and the circ*umstances surrounding my mother’s death.
