Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 77 The Dry Apology From His Girlfriend (Genevieve Swan)

My spirits were already low upon seeing her, but I couldn’t complain. I knew what I was getting into when I expressed a desire to visit his pack. Obviously, I would run into her since she holds the esteemed position of his royal beta.

However, what caught me off guard was the fact that Bellamy rushed out ahead of me to open the car door. I noticed Ariel looking away and taking a deep breath. I wasn’t the type to rub it in someone’s face, but damn! It hit her like a ton of bricks.

I had no sympathy for her. Not even a shred. She had it coming.

One by one, everybody stepped out of the car and faced her as she gestured for the other pack members to come forward with bouquets. I didn’t expect such a welcoming reception. The people looked so sweet and warm. They greeted me with a bow, handing me a bouquet, while the others welcomed my mates behind.

“Oh my, such a towering gentleman you are,” one of the old ladies giggled as she attempted to t*ouch Wolvin’s hand, then blushed and turned away. It was endearing but also slightly weird. I couldn’t stop smiling.

“Welcome to the Blood Claw Pack,” Ariel stepped forward, her voice tired and gruff, as she handed me the bouquet of red roses.

“Thank you,” I graciously accepted the flowers and turned to face the pack members when Bellamy stepped between us.

“Aren’t you forgetting something?” he whispered to Ariel, but I overheard it as well. Ariel stayed silent for a minute before stepping back into my view, looking apologetic.

“I wanted to apologize for my actions. They were wrong and they only made me look bad. I don’t know what I was thinking. Or maybe I wasn’t thinking at all. Now that I reflect on it, I can only blame the alcohol in my system. I had been partying all day with my friends and then foolishly decided to unleash my stupid behavior on you. I am genuinely sorry for what I did,” she lowered her head and fidgeted with her hands in front of her body while offering her dry apology.

“It’s alright,” I thought to myself, realizing I couldn’t just tell her to go away or that I didn’t believe her apology, especially with everyone from the pack staring at me.

“Thank you,” she said softly before turning her gaze towards Emre and Caspian.

“I am sorry for whatever I said,” she had barely started when Caspian made it abundantly clear that he was not accepting it.

“Say the whole thing. Apologize properly,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest and locking eyes with her.

One could tell she wasn’t anticipating this demand. She glanced at her people, who stared back at her with bewilderment, and then turned her gaze to Caspian.

“I cannot say it in front of them,” she whispered, obviously too concerned about her reputation.

“Um, why not? If you can falsely accuse someone of it, why can’t you say it loud enough when apologizing as well? You need to first acknowledge what you are apologizing for,” Caspian firmly expressed that he wouldn’t be accepting her apology, just like me. “And obviously, don’t read it from a script,” Emre chimed in, aligning with Caspian. The atmosphere turned incredibly awkward.

I watched as Bellamy lowered his head and closed his eyes. I could tell he felt bad for her, and it tugged at my heartstrings a little. He truly cared about her, so much so that even when she was wrong, he wanted to assist her in getting through it.

“I am sorry for falsely accusing you two of t*ouching me inappropriately. I genuinely believed that’s what happened—,” she began to cover it up, but Caspian pointed his finger in her face.

“No! We’re not doing that. You knew we didn’t t*ouch you like__,” he stopped abruptly when he noticed Bellamy looking so guilty.

“Fine, apology accepted,” I looked at Caspian and smiled. No matter how h*ard he tried to come off as despicable or pretended not to care about others, I could see a brotherly bond forming between the two of them.

Ariel nodded and stepped away, but the glance she shot at Bellamy made me wonder if that’s what his phone call was about. Did he coerce her into apologizing? It seemed likely because she didn’t appear genuinely happy after making amends and apologizing.

“Everyone! I have brought my mate here to introduce her to all of you. Before you stands my beautiful mate, wife, and princess of the Furious Fangs Pack, and the daughter of the Alpha King, Bernard,” I noticed his tone turn bitter before he forced a huge smile onto his l*ips, urging his people to do the same.

There were only a handful of people in his pack, a stark reminder of the pack’s decline. Their smiles faded, and they merely nodded, then waited to be dismissed.

Suddenly, I no longer felt welcomed, but since nobody explained why they looked so uncomfortable, I decided not to dwell on it too much.

“Anyways, let’s head inside and freshen up. A feast has been prepared for us,” Bellamy comfortably wrapped his arm around my back, while Ariel watched, and he guided me into his condo. It was the only building that remained standing beautifully. The other houses seemed well-built but also bore signs of destruction, hinting at the war from years ago.

“Ariel, please show them their rooms,” Bellamy said, not even turning to look her way, and led me upstairs to his bedroom. Before I could take a proper glance around, he locked the door and whispered in my ear.

“Ah! I’ve been holding back for so long,” he murmured as he pressed me against the wall, showering my n*eck and chest with k*isses.

“Bellamy! We have to shower and prepare for dinner. They’ll all be waiting for us,” I said in hushed tones, feeling extremely anxious now that I was alone in the bedroom with him.

“Then let’s do it in the shower,” he demanded, and before I knew it, I was being led to his bathroom.
