Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee
Chapter 90 The Truth Is Coming Out (Genevieve Swan)
“What’s it now?” The irritation in Wolvin’s actions, as he flung his blanket aside and rose from the bed, made it abundantly clear that he was thoroughly displeased with the intrusion.
Nonetheless, I felt a sense of relief. The longer we had remained in close proximity, the more entangled things might have become, and I feared things could have escalated even further.
I rose within the bed and observed as he opened the door to reveal Ariel, who bore an unusual expression on her face.
“May I have a word with the princess?” Her manner of addressing me with that title felt peculiar. She always emphasized it with extra weight, which tended to unsettle me.

“What’s the matter?” Wolvin intervened, his hand on the door frame, preventing her from entering.
“I need to present her with this invitation to the breakfast, which is being held to mark her arrival to the pack as the pack’s Luna,” she said with an eye roll directed at Wolvin, clearly expressing her disdain for his apparent lack of understanding.
“May I?” she added with an irritable tone.
Wolvin stepped aside, allowing her to enter the room with the golden envelope in her possession.
“You’re invited to the breakfast,” she stated, letting the envelope fall onto a surface and surveying the room. “If that’s all, you can go now,” I responded in a weary tone. She appeared taken aback by my response, though she concealed it. I was certain she was silently criticizing me for being in Wolvin’s bed.
“I can’t help but wonder how you feel about yourself,” she interjected before departing the room, leaving me with a perplexed expression.
“Don’t dwell on her remark too much. She’s likely attempting to ruin your mood,” Wolvin offered his opinion, holding the envelope out for me since Ariel hadn’t bothered to hand it to me directly.
Gratefully, I accepted the letter and rose from the bed, intending to prepare for the day. The pack members might not have many resources, so if they went to the effort of arranging a breakfast for me, I didn’t want to disappoint them.
“Thank you for intervening. It truly helped me regain my composure,” I sincerely smiled at him, and he responded with a slightly awkward nod. Leaving his room proved challenging, as it seemed that there was a growing connection between us. Nonetheless, I eventually found myself in Bellamy’s room, searching for my bags. Of course, Ariel had to be present. “I don’t like how she is sleeping around while she’s a member of our pack—,” she halted her words as soon as she followed Bellamy’s line of sight and turned to face me. He stood squarely in front of her, arms crossed and a visibly annoyed expression on his face.
“What were you saying?” I confronted her, unwilling to let her off the hook. “Nothing! Everyone’s waiting for you both at the breakfast table,” she hissed, her tone laced with cowardice, attempting to dart towards the door. I blocked her path.
“Genevieve! Just let her go. Let’s not escalate things right now,” Bellamy implored, his words carried in a gentle whisper, but it only stirred more frustration within me.
“If you lacked the courage to stand up against her slut-shaming me, you should stay out of it when I’m standing up for myself,” I cautioned him, observing as he shot me a narrowed- eyed glare from a distance.
“As for you,” I stiffened my posture, my jaw clenched, “don’t tempt me to take whatever you hold dear. And understand that I’m perfectly capable of enticing him to a point where I’ll leave him drained for you,” I declared, no longer fearful of voicing those words.
She had already accused me of seducing him, so she should be well aware that if I were to actually follow through, she would have reason to regret it. Her expression shifted, her face revealing a range of emotions, while he glanced beyond my shoulders to gauge Bellamy’s response. Clearly, he opted to remain silent once more. “Join us for breakfast,” her voice wavered as she looked at her boyfriend, her eyes misty, before she turned and stormed out of the room.
“Genevieve!” Once she departed, he hurried towards me, attempting to grasp my hands. Swiftly, I withdrew my hands and gave him an exasperated look.
“I’m sorry, damn it,” he implored, persisting in blocking my path and preventing me from moving forward. “It doesn’t matter anymore. You failed to inform me that you tasked Caspian with obtaining the location of the – and then you had the audacity to confront him, withholding crucial information?” I nearly raised my voice, though I ultimately chose not to.
Raising my voice could prove detrimental, especially if his pack members were to overhear me yelling at him.
“I made a mistake, I acknowledge that.
But he was taking initiative on his own. I put in as much effort as he did, and besides, he was still texting with others,” Bellamy held onto my hand more firmly this time, ensuring I faced him.
“Who? Who did he message?” I inquired, insisting on making direct eye contact. I wouldn’t allow him to make vague assertions without providing an explanation this time.
“He had messaged your cousin, Kit,” Bellamy confessed in a hushed tone, his guilt evident for not revealing this information earlier.
“What could he possibly be messaging her about?” I furrowed my brow, baffled by the situation.
“That’s not the extent of it. He messaged another individual,” he paused, taking a deep breath, his next words causing the ground beneath me to shift.
“Alpha Ron.”
I was not just shocked; I was so furious that I couldn’t even think straight enough to respond to Bellamy anymore.
“I’m uncertain about the specifics, but I believe it had something to do with your connection to Ron,” he clarified, causing me to grit my teeth and lower my head.
“I’m not lying this time. I’m certain he’ll cover his tracks, but he did that,” Bellamy added with a shrug, taking a deep sigh. “Oh, it’s such a relief to finally reveal what I’ve been keeping inside for the past two days.”
While Bellamy might have found some satisfaction in sharing this information, I certainly didn’t. I needed to collect myself before I could continue.
Taking a deep breath, I posed my next question, “When did this happen? When did he message him?”
“I think it was after the second dinner with your father, the one where Kit and Ron were present,” his response only made things more convoluted and unsettling for me. Caspian had truly blundered by involving those two in this situation.
