Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee
Chapter 92 Nobody Wants Me To Visit Their Home (Genevieve Swan)
After that incident, I made my way back to my room and began packing my belongings. Staying there any longer didn’t seem like a wise choice. I had met the pack members, and while I might have stirred the pot, it was important to show that derogatory comments were not acceptable.
Bellamy followed me to my room and observed as I packed my things. After notifying the others, he joined me in the process, assisting silently. There was still much to address with the rest of my mates, but for now, I decided to take a break and focus solely on preparing to leave.
“You’re leaving already?” Just as I thought I might not encounter Ariel again, she entered the room, her arms encircling Bellamy’s n*eck as she pouted and aired her complaints.
“We have other packs to visit,” Bellamy responded in a subdued tone, though I did notice him caress her back and gaze at her with affection.

It annoyed me, but this was all part of the arrangement, so I kept my silence. “I’ll miss you,” she persisted.
“Same here. Let me finish packing now,” Bellamy understood the situation well enough to gently encourage her to leave the room.
“I don’t want to see you go,” she pouted, imitating a childish tone.
“Yeah, well, I have to leave. Please,” he insisted once more, aware that I was still there and could potentially overhear their conversation.
“I’ll be waiting outside,” she departed, yet not before whispering those words into his ear.
“I’ll go check on the others,” Bellamy fabricated an excuse, a ploy to spend more time with her. I merely offered a faint nod in response.
In silence, I gathered my belongings, and before the rest of the pack members arrived, Caspian appeared to collect my bags and load them into the car. I observed as the others approached us to say their farewells.
“I hope you’re not departing due to my thoughtless remarks. I hadn’t considered it in that light until you explained,” Patricia stepped forward to apologize. It seemed her apology might have been prompted by Bellamy. Her repeated glances in his direction made me question the sincerity of her remorse.
“It’s alright. I was planning to leave regardless,” I fibbed, offering a feeble smile in her direction. As the others waved their goodbyes, we entered our car and resumed our journey.
Silence enveloped us for a few minutes as I sat beside Caspian in the front seats. He drove at a leisurely pace. The others hadn’t been very talkative either. I cleared my t*hroat to redirect the focus on Caspian.
“So, are we heading to your pack next?” I inquired, and I couldn’t help but notice his momentary loss of control over the steering wheel.
“No, um, my pack isn’t in any state to receive visitors,” he responded with a disconcerting laugh, though he remained attentive to the road. “Hey, don’t go back on your words now,” I frowned, glancing at the backseat to gauge the reactions of the others.
“She’s correct. We all agreed to take her to our packs,” Bellamy interjected, his words aligning with my thoughts. It was odd that Caspian seemed to be retracting from his side of the deal regarding my visits to their packs. “I already informed you all that my pack is currently facing difficulties. I’d greatly appreciate it if you wouldn’t burden me further by insisting on a visit, especially when my people are enduring h*ardships,” histone shifted, laced with frustration as his words carried a trace of anger. After taking a deep breath, he continued in a calmer manner, “Besides, why hasn’t Emre disclosed the location of his place? Weren’t we supposed to visit his home as well?”
He was right, though. If his pack was in a bad state of emergency at the moment due to the rain and floods, we shouldn’t be adding to their burdens. However, I didn’t want to speak to Emre. I was still upset with him, and I didn’t know how else to make amends now. He had to come to me and apologize for hiding everything from me.
“My home-,” as Emre took a pause, I turned against my will to stare at his face in disbelief. Was he also going to dodge us?
“There is nothing much to see in my home. Just my mother and-,” he paused, stealing a glance from me. I instantly deduced that his girlfriend might be living with his mother. “So what? Introduce us to your mother,” Bellamy insisted, but Emre was quick to shake his head and dismiss the idea. “It’s not possible. My mother suffers from dementia; she is always in a state of panic and restlessness. Maybe seeing Genevieve might trigger her traumas even more,” he straightforwardly let me know that I was the reason he could not take us to his home.
“Oh!” Caspian gulped, his words trailing off into silence.
“And your girlfriend looks after her?” I voiced the question aloud. Caspian’s eyes widened as he abruptly adjusted the rearview mirror to catch a glimpse of Emre in the backseat.
Even Bellamy seemed to be muttering something in bewilderment now.
“You didn’t inform us,” Bellamy protested.
“My – indeed! Abigail resides with my mother,” Emre grunted, finding himself laid bare before the others.
“Hmm. I believe all three of you should elaborate on the alternative choices, so that you don’t just go around sleeping and then claiming that particular one is an exception,” I muttered, folding my arms firmly across my chest to convey my determination not to be deceived any further.
“Caspian, this applies to you as well.” As I uttered his name, I noticed Caspian straightening his posture in his seat. “As of now, I am unattached. However, should I encounter someone noteworthy, I shall keep you informed,”
I affirmed to myself, recalling the person he might be referring to.
A girl was in the periphery of his life, possibly someone he held affection for. I refrained from prying for additional details, aware that her presence would likely emerge sooner than later, causing me even greater distress.
