Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 93 My Ex Knows Something (Genevieve Swan)

After an exhausting drive lasting hours, we finally returned home, and the weariness was evident on everyone’s faces. I couldn’t help but notice that Bellamy still harbored discontent about the fact that the two of them had abandoned the original plan, leaving him with the task of escorting me to his pack.”

You guys told me you would also take us to your places,” Bellamy’s voice carried its protest from the living room. Wolvin occupied a corner, meticulously sharpening his knives, while I paced restlessly between various corners of the room.

“I can’t believe they hid so much from me,” I rambled on, causing him to lift his head and regard me once more.

Every time he thought I was done yammering, I continued my venting and captured his attention.

“You know Caspian had been using my phone all this time?” I finally stopped marching around to face Wolvin, my hands resting on my waist.

He paused briefly, squinting his eyes and tilting his head, as if he had a comment to make.

“He had been using your phone?” he asked, and as I nodded, he zoned out again.

“That’s disturbing,” he commented but didn’t say anything further.

“I will f*uckin’ kill him if he had pretended to be me in front of Ron and Kit,” I scoffed, bowing my head in frustration.

“Why haven’t you asked him to give you his phone back already?” Wolvin questioned, and I fell silent once again. “You’re right. I should just ask for my phone,” I stomped my foot, realizing I had been foolish to let him keep my phone for longer than necessary.

I wasn’t attempting to initiate a conversation when we were all fatigued, but I suppose I shouldn’t concern myself with their tranquility if they don’t consider mine.

“Go ahead, I’m right behind you,” Wolvin stood up and adjusted his brown coat, causing me to raise an eyebrow at him.

“For protection,” he added, shrugging to indicate his impatience. After giving him a nod, I proceeded to the living room where they were already engaged in an argument. Their voices abruptly faded as they watched me approach, my expression clearly showing my displeasure.

“Caspian!” I addressed him, my tone firm. “Kindly give me my phone,” I stated, extending my hand. I observed him gaze at my open palm for a few moments before reluctantly tearing his eyes away from Bellamy and Emre, who were secretly finding amusement in the situation.

“Sure,” Caspian replied, rising from his seat. “Wait here,” he added before disappearing into the bedroom. “Is everything alright? You seemed irritated,” Emre inquired, but instead of responding, I simply rolled my eyes at him.

“Whoa! You’re still holding a grudge against me?” Emre shook his head, but by then, Caspian had returned with my phone. As soon as he placed it in my hand, I swiftly exited the cabin and settled on the porch. I intended to sift through my phone and investigate what he had been up to.

Right from the start, something felt amiss because I discovered the inbox was entirely empty. The text conversations between Ron and me had vanished into thin air.

Our past chats were nowhere to be found.

I used to have numerous conversations with Kit back when we were friends, but those were also wiped clean.

“This is definitely suspicious,” I groaned, clenching my jaw in frustration.

I wondered if questioning Caspian would even be worthwhile. After all, he wouldn’t spill the beans after erasing everything and taking precautions to ensure I remained clueless.

That’s when a rather daring idea crossed my mind. In the heat of the moment, I resolved to call Ron.

However, I promptly ended the call after just one ring.

“No! I shouldn’t be doing this,” I shook my head. It was at that moment I came to the realization that Ron couldn’t be trusted either. Yet, he immediately returned my call. I exhaled deeply and glanced around, ensuring that none of my mates were observing or overhearing me.

I answered the call.

“Hello?” I feigned innocence, as if I hadn’t been the one to initiate the call. “I got a missed call from you and was curious about the reason,” he spoke from the other end.

“I was just going through my phone and noticed that our chat is missing. Maybe I accidentally deleted everything,” I sighed as I lied, biting my t*ongue.

I never anticipated that I’d be conversing with him again. After the way he betrayed me and acted aggressively, I had lost all respect for him. We had been friends since childhood, so losing not only a fiancé but also a friend hurt deeply.

“You mean the messages your mate sent me?” Ron’s words caught me off guard, causing my mouth to open slightly before I managed to stifle the gasp of surprise.

Nevertheless, I was utterly astonished. “My mate?” I inquired, my voice quivering.

“Yes, he reached out to me. In fact, he messaged Kit too,” Ron continued, each word sending my heart racing in my chest.

“Hmm, so what was the content of the messages?” I felt a deep sense of embarrassment at having to ask him when I could simply talk to my mate and confront him. It was becoming apparent to Ron that my mates and I were keeping secrets from each other. “I had a suspicion that you weren’t aware of the messages,” he went on, his voice adopting a tone of reassurance, though I wasn’t about to fall for it.

“Could you forward me the chat?” I requested, my trust in his words severely shaken.

“Why don’t you join Kit and me at the restaurant? We can display all the text conversations to you,” he insisted. However, his invitation struck me considering the tumultuous state of affairs between us.

“You think I’d come? After everything you’ve done–” I began, but he cut me off.

“Just this once. What we’re about to share is for you to witness your mate’s behavior firsthand. No tricks, you can select any cafe you prefer, but I won’t send you the conversations. If you want them, come meet us,” his tone was h*ard to discern, yet I found myself greatly intrigued by the specific conversation he seemed to have had with Caspian.
