Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 94 Going To Meet My Ex (Genevieve Swan)

I had been tormented by worry, unsure of how to proceed. I was consumed by the desire to uncover what Caspian had been up to behind my back. It was crucial to ascertain his true character and gauge his trustworthiness.

“Why are you sitting here all by yourself?” Just as I was contemplating approaching him, he emerged on his own. It seemed as though he might be concerned about my reaction to his use of my phone. Perhaps curiosity had driven him to initiate a conversation.

“An entire chat has gone missing from my phone,” I remarked, raising my phone and fixing my gaze upon him, subtly conveying my suspicion. “Oh, that’s strange. I assumed you had cleared the chats yourself,” Caspian shrugged and offered me a smile. However, he quickly averted his gaze and looked around, avoiding direct eye contact.

I was taken aback and growing increasingly frustrated.

“By the way, the full moon is approaching. Ready for the competition to grab your attention?” he remarked, grinning like a foolish jester. I couldn’t quite discern whether he genuinely didn’t notice my perplexed expression or if he was intentionally diverting the conversation.

“I’m not sure. I’ll decide after I’ve retrieved those text conversations,” I replied, causing his grin to finally fade.

“It appears those conversations held great importance. May I inquire about whose conversations you’re mourning?” His tone shifted, and the clenching of his jaw drew most of my focus.

“It’s not about whose conversations they were. It’s about why the hell they’ve disappeared!” I couldn’t contain my frustration any longer, my voice rising as I implored him to shed light on this perplexing situation.

“Fine!” he shrugged indifferently. “I deleted your conversations with Ron, and I’m not feeling guilty about it. Feel free to shout at me or hurl insults, but if I had to do it again, I would,” he declared, his tone devoid of remorse or embarrassment. He raised his voice at me, unapologetically revealing the truth.

“Really? Why? Why did you delete them?” I shouted back, rising from my seat, my frustration reaching its peak. “Sit down and have a civilized conversation,” he hissed, pointing at the chair. I had no intention of letting him dictate my emotions.

“Why don’t you start by answering my question?” I retorted.

“Because it infuriates me that you’ve uttered those words to him multiple times in your conversations,” he exploded, rising to his feet and shouting in my face, causing me to instinctively step back.

“It hit me h*ard when you confessed your love for Ron to Kit,” he continued, continuing to embarrass me with my own past.

“You read my messages?” I was in disbelief. He was shamelessly admitting that he not only read my conversations but also deleted them without any remorse.

“I did. I wanted to understand–” he began, but his voice faltered as he noticed the fury in my expression. I held up my palm to silence him.

However, I could tell he still wasn’t being entirely honest with me. He was trying to convey that he only deleted the conversations, but I knew that he had reached out to Kit and Ron as well.

“I don’t need to hear another word from you, just leave me alone!” I muttered, my frustration evident. However, my words clearly didn’t sit well with him.

His expression grew angry and annoyed.

“You’re being disrespectful now,” he retorted, his words barely audible. “And you don’t think it’s disrespectful that you invaded my privacy by reading my messages without permission?” I yelled back, this time drawing the attention of others.

Bellamy and Emre hurried out, and as soon as they spotted the phone in my hand, they seemed to understand the situation. It seemed like Bellamy had briefed Emre on Caspian’s antics. “You spilled the beans to her, didn’t you?” Caspian turned to Bellamy, accusing him.

“Was I supposed to keep her in the dark?” Bellamy shrugged, maintaining his gaze despite Caspian’s intense stare.

“I was planning to disclose everything in my own way, but you’ve messed it all up. Don’t expect to get any more information from me about this,” Caspian hissed, his words carrying a threatening undertone directed at Bellamy. Ironically, I was the one eager to learn more about the situation.

“Come on, man. It’s not like–” Bellamy probably felt the weight of Caspian’s judgmental gaze because as he tried to ease the tension, Caspian shook his head dismissively, rejecting Bellamy’s attempts at reconciliation.

“You ignited this, don’t ever forget that,” Caspian’s threat was sharp, and he quickly retreated into the woods, leaving the rest of us bewildered. “Why did you do that?” Emre slapped Bellamy’s chest, earning a grunt of protest from him.

“What? I told Genevieve the truth. Did I commit a crime?” Bellamy argued back, his logic sound. “Go ask him why he used her phone. Don’t shoot the messenger,” he added, making a valid point.

I breathed heavily through my nostrils, the frustration of Caspian’s unwillingness to provide answers getting under my skin.

If he wasn’t going to offer any explanations, I figured I had no other option but to meet up with Ron. I was resolute, and there was a part of me that wanted to prove to him that he wasn’t the only one who could assist me.

As I began making my way toward the house, Bellamy chased after me, while Emre whispered that he would be heading off to look after Caspian.

“What are you up to?” Bellamy inquired, watching me grab a pair of blue jeans and a black top before heading toward the bathroom.

“I want to change. What else do you think?” I retorted, giving a dismissive snort before darting into the bathroom. “Wow! Seems like everyone’s fired up today,” Bellamy’s voice echoed from outside the bathroom door. After taking a deep breath and swapping my outfit, I clutched my phone and decided to contact Ron.

Me: Meet me at the pack’s main cafe.

I pressed the send b*utton, and in that moment, I realized there was no turning back now.
