Tossed Between Her Defiant Mates By Alexis Dee

Chapter 95 She Still Hates Me (Genevieve Swan)

Bellamy, fatigued, had dozed off on the couch. Earlier, Wolvin had departed, even before the entire drama had unfolded, to test his knives in the woods. Thus, it was just the sleeping prince and me.

Consequently, the opportunity to slip away presented itself. With my heart racing and in a frenzy, I exited the house and hailed a taxi. Swiftly, I found myself en route to the cafe, where I was to rendezvous with my ex friends.

A heavy apprehension weighed on me regarding the forthcoming interaction. I was acutely aware that Kit must be simmering with anger due to Caspian’s message. Nonetheless, I remained uncertain about the exact context of their conversation.

From the way Ron responded to me, it didn’t seem like Caspian had pretended to be me. So, what did he say to both of them?

I entered the cafe and spotted Ron and Kit in the far corner. The cafe was small and cozy, with only a few people around at this time of evening.

It felt strange to see Ron acknowledge my arrival. I straightened my back and took a deep breath before walking over to them. Kit had her arms folded across her chest, wearing a stern expression. It was evident that she hadn’t come here willingly.

“Thank you for coming,” Ron initiated the conversation with a smile. It seemed they had already ordered our drinks – a mango boba tea for me. Did he still remember it was my favorite?

But that didn’t matter anymore, though. “I want to know what he said to you,” I said directly, avoiding any conversation that wasn’t related to why I was there. “Why didn’t you ask your own mate?” I knew it was coming. Kit had been waiting for this moment, and now it had finally arrived.

“Kit! What have I told you about not starting arguments?” Ron’s gruff and stern tone caused her to glance at him, and then she turned her gaze toward me. Because she was the type to find amusement in witnessing someone being scolded or berated by their mates, she seemed to think I would take pleasure in him reprimanding her too.

I wasn’t concerned. They could have whatever kind of relationship they pleased. My main concern was the matter at hand.

“Here, read the conversation,” Ron handed me his phone and then glanced at Kit, silently urging her to give me her phone as well. She seemed hesitant.

I started reading the chat while they whispered to each other in the background.

It appeared that while Caspian had my phone, Ron had attempted to contact me. However, the conversation had started off on an odd note.

Gen: Hey, I’m Genevieve’s mate. Could you please ask your girlfriend to stay away from her?

I was taken aback by the content. Immediately, my perception of the chat shifted. The entire conversation revolved around Ron inquiring about what had transpired. Caspian had essentially informed him that Kit had been messaging me, sending veiled insults and more. He had warned that if she didn’t cease, he would intervene personally.

So, he hadn’t engaged in any deception. However, I wondered what Kit had sent me that had provoked such a strong reaction from him.

“Give me your phone,” I exclaimed at Kit, extending my hand towards her. Instead of sifting through the entire conversation, I wanted to see for myself.

Both of them looked bewildered, but at least they understood the reason behind my request.

“Kit,” Ron muttered, and when she didn’t comply, he seized the phone from her grasp and opened the chat for me. Everything fell into place now.

There was a graphic illustration depicting a girl engaged in explicit acts with multiple men, and Kit had added a caption: ‘Genevieve and all the men from the woods while her mates watch and masturbate.’ The image was deeply disturbing.

“How could you!” I stood up abruptly, taking hold of the glass of cold coffee and flinging it onto her face.

“What the—,” she gasped, immediately recoiling, while Ron swiftly intervened, positioning himself between us.

“Hey! I know what she did was gross, and your mate replied to her texts. He put her down for what she did,” Ron kept glancing around to ensure nobody was recording this conversation. Thankfully, only a few elder pack members were in the cafe at that time. If there were any teens around, this video could’ve spread like wildfire. “She’s acting like a real jerk,” I grumbled, shouting and tossing napkins her way as she shielded her face.

“Hey!” Ron emerged from the side and took hold of my arms, grabbing my bag and pulling me towards the exit.

“You’re actually leaving with her?” Kit made sure not to step out as she called after us.

“Kit! We’ll discuss this later,” he cautioned her with a glance. Clearly, he understood that she had made a mistake by sending me those revolting images.

“Let’s go,” he guided me out of the cafe, and once we were in the fresh air, I shrugged myself out of his grasp and moved aside.

“Ugh! I’m going to kill that slut,” I yelled, hopping up and down in frustration. “Wow! I don’t remember you being this aggressive,” Ron made a faint remark, but he turned serious again when I shot him an angry glare.

“You better rein her in, Ron. I won’t stand for such behavior towards me anymore,” I wagged my finger at him while giving him a pointed look, signaling him to keep his girlfriend in check.

“Alright. I’ll make sure you don’t have any reason to complain this time,” he pouted, smoothly slipping his hands into his pockets before adding, “Wolvin really messed her up when he sent her all those threats.”

I abruptly ceased my tantrum and observed his expression silently. “What did you just say?” I squinted at him, feeling a sense of inconsistency.

Why was he mentioning Wolvin’s name?

“Wolvin! He’s the one who was sending us messages, isn’t he?” His raised eyebrow prompted another realization within me. When Caspian had been engaging in a text message altercation with them, he had identified himself as Wolvin to them.
